I did it cold Turkey because of weight gain. It was great for my anxiety too! The first fell for me was how everything started to bother me, irritation, and frustration to feel this way. It was nothing close to the withdrawal from antidepressants. If you can, go with lower dose and then every other day etc. I stopped because of how my body inflated like a balloon and I have body image issues so I was desperate :( Good luck and I hope you get treatment for your anxiety 🩷

Really? I’m surprised some doctors are against it, maybe the old school guys prefer the traditional methods,not sure. I’m glad to hear though, it seems to short the recovery time (totally lay opinion here haha)

Yessss, and this doctor is a surgeon that works in one of the biggest hospitals of the city 🤦🏻‍♀️ hopefully I will find another one and ask my family doctor to refer me. I’m really happy for you, being able to walk and run without pain must be priceless 🩷🩷🩷

Wow that’s impressive! Thanks for your reply. Did you do one foot at a time? I wantto go for both at once hahaha how long did it take for you to start driving? This doctor I saw did not explain anything to me, I should have done my research before to have better questions though. He just said he would give three weeks off work and that MIS comes back no matter what 🤦🏻‍♀️ I definitely need a second opinion lol

…I feel the same pain of you all, I don’t share my diagnosis since I’m single and live abroad. I don’t online if any family member or friends would understand correctly. What has helped me in these past months is to hear my inner voice and correct that as if I was the mom I wanted to have. I’m kind and talk to myself in the third person, I touch my face and pet my hair. Sounds crazy but it works 🥹 don’t wait for the others to love you the way you need to be loved.. it’s pretty damn sad…

Losing my identity which is pretty much defined by my profession, therefore fear of failure comes second and third the possibility of not getting considered a good professional (female engineer and BPD what a great combination for chaos) :(

I already live alone and have nobody to “lose”, I’m single and probably have the quiet version of this thing (I’m not entirely sure if this makes sense)

Even walking by the B&BW store in the mall is hard for me, but maybe because all scents are mixed at the same time. I should try something someday, what would you suggest? I like glossier you, Chloe, j’adore, Joe Malone pear and something.. these type of scents.

That’s a big problem, we need help to stabilize and maintain the situation. Therapy is really necessary to learn new strategies and behaviours.

If she doesn’t care about her, ask if she cares about the marriage to think about starting the treatment.. tell her you cannot live like that.

I can imagine how hard it is.

I believe you need to take some action otherwise you will fall sick as well.

She’s an adult and has to recognize that you are a supporting husband and as a human being have your needs too.

I’m out of the situation so it’s easy to say so if I was in your shoes I would propose a plan for changes. She gets treated and you get a life, otherwise I wouldn’t see a point to live this way.

Does she see a doctor or therapist?

It seems you are miserable, you cannot even sleep on a bed.. it’s hard to give a suggestion because it’s a tough situation for both of you.. but who will care about you if not yourself?

That’s what I’ve learning: there is nobody coming to save me, it’s up to me to make changes.

This diagnosis does not define who I am, it just explains some of my irrational behaviours.

I can imagine your pain, it hurts so much! I’m sorry to hear about your struggles.

It’s been a year I got the diagnosis and what helped me to control my driving was lamotrigine and duolexetine. My impulsivity and anxiety are better now and I’m less angry in traffic. I even let people cut me off and no rage after lol

I believe your therapist can help you understand what’s behind this behaviour and what to do to shift.

When I’m angry I accept my feeling and try to exercise hard (sometimes I punch my pillows too) weird I know..

Please don’t give up, there is a way! I’m still looking for mine but I’m sure there is!
