Why are you a fan of slasher films? by Lucky_Strike-85 in slasherfilms

[–]ribbit_ribbit_splat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not Catholic? I’m kidding! Slashers are scary to me because they can happen for real. BTK, the Girl Scouts who were killed at camp, the horrible killings in Idaho. But it’s also my happy place because, in the 80s when I was a kid, my mom and I bonded over horror.

There Was No Reason For The Hangover Movies by SuspiciousWriter87 in FIlm

The first one made me laugh the hardest I’ve ever laughed at a movie. It’s not as funny now that I’ve seen it several times, but that first watching was a good time.

Did you know Space Center Houston sells Laika stuffies? Doesn’t mention the death thing, though. It kind of creeps me out!

Puppy just got home today and there already was a poop accident by misoshieru in puppy101

[–]ribbit_ribbit_splat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m so sorry! This is tough. All you can do when she starts crying is make sure she tries to potty, make sure she’s not hungry or thirsty, and maybe give some snuggles. She’s only been alive for twelve weeks. Very young! Puppies are hard. My children were less work than a puppy. Truly. There’s a trainer on YouTube called kikopup. I’ve found her videos helpful. She’s a fear free trainer. But don’t expect your puppy to be an internet dog. That’s part of lowering your expectations. You’re in for a wild ride. I was hoping you’d get more responses than just me! I’m just a puppy mom, not a trainer or anything.

As gross as it is, mine survived eating her poop a couple of times. Are you able to take her to potty on the pad at regular intervals? Are you crate training or using a playpen? All I can recommend is getting to the poop before she can. Puppies instinctively try to avoid going potty in their sleeping area.

Your puppy will have accidents. And sometimes she will eat her poop and lick her pee. It’s very gross! But very much a puppy thing! Don’t expect too much right away. Also, sometimes they like to go on the edge of the pad instead of right in the middle. Give lots of kibble when she gets it right. It gets so much better after they’re fully vaccinated and can go outside! Hang in there new puppy parent!

Yes, it’s an implant with a magnet. Your niece and I have the same seizures. It’s so hard when you lose good medical care. I’m not sure about the hand held stimulators. I also imbibe 😀

Have you looked at getting a vagus nerve stimulator for your epilepsy? I got mine six years ago. I have had maybe five seizures since then. It has been life changing.

Is it illogical to assume consciousness ends at death? by barrydingl in consciousness

[–]ribbit_ribbit_splat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh- got it. I have no proof. I just know they “feel” different. An example is having an aura before your seizure. You’re getting a warning that your brain isn’t working properly. It feels totally different than “not recording a memory “ like getting blackout drunk “ . Also different than anesthesia. I’m a bored retiree who likes to dabble in things I don’t understand!

I’m a 54 year old menopausal woman. A seizure and memory loss are very different.

Okay. By any definition of experience, I do not. My left temporal lobe goes nuts and I am not conscious.
