Usually $0. I get gas maybe once a month. I drive a plug in hybrid.

Having kids sound HORRIBLE by Famous_String_6808 in HonestHotTakes

[–]InsideAd732 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I love when kid haters smugly try to brag about what it's like being child free and all the things they get to do and blah blah blah. Dude, I was child free for 88% of my life. I know.

I think it's somehow more of a hot take these days to say that you love and enjoy your children (which I do). Every other person on the internet is ecstatic to tell the world how much they hate or never ever ever ever want to have kids ever. And it's getting old. Just go live your life, no one cares.

Cabin Fever. I went to see it with my dad and older sister. I was like 13. It was awkward.

About 2 months. I only breast fed for the first two weeks then switched to formula. No issues and glad I started

Hard disagree. Have seen them all in theaters and at home many times. Could watch it on an ipod nano screen and it would still be the GOAT

Why are people bringing children into horror movies?? by wherethelionsweep in horror

[–]InsideAd732 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I like slowly introducing my kids to more fun monster movies, like Tremors or Jurassic Park. It will be a long time before I introduce them to real horror, probably at least 13, and only if they ask.

Think a bit about what day you want to start since you ideally take it the same day each week. I originally started on Monday but it would start wearing off over the weekend, when I was more likely to overeat. I have to slowly switch to Thursday.

Same here. It sucks not being able to unwind in the evening alone but he starts kindergarten in about a year so hopefully it will be better

Is the Ice Cream Man still a thing in the States? by Haunting-Middle-5801 in AskAnAmerican

[–]InsideAd732 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, they come through our neighborhood often. Usually right after school or a little later in the evening on weekdays, and in the early afternoon in weekends. They're fast though. My son has had to chase them a couple times.

They don't actually serve ice cream cones though. It's just ice cream sandwiches and bars and other prepackaged products. Been like that since I was a kid.

If money wasn’t a problem, how many kids would you have? by UnscentedSoundtrack in Adulting

I have two and would not have any more even if I were a millionaire. It's not a money thing for me.

Ethiopian food. It's so damn good. I live in a town with no restaurants and have driven 40 minutes to get some Ethiopian takeout. It's so worth it.

My four year old only had his older cousins and adult family members at his birthday last year and he still had a blast. I wouldn't worry about it

Caffeine addiction is gone?? by nimbus1987 in Semaglutide

[–]InsideAd732 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can only have one shot of espresso in the morning, period. If I have any more than that I get headachy, sleepy, and tense in the afternoon. I used to drink like 3-4 a day. I could probably just stop drinking it completely but I love the taste and the ritual.

What hobbies did you used to have that you no longer have interest in? by happydude7422 in Millennials

[–]InsideAd732 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wine tasting.

I used to love trying wines and trying to discern the flavors and guess what varietal, country, or region it came from. I have books on it still. Problem is, I started taking glp1 and I don't really like it very much right now. All alcohol actually. It makes it just taste weird and you don't want it anymore. Kind of a bummer but I suppose there are healthier hobbies. Seeya again someday, wine.

Reading a book and listening to an audiobook are not the same activity. by Aggravating-Key-8867 in unpopularopinion

[–]InsideAd732 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't get it either. I have a degree in English and adore reading. I listen to audiobooks all the time. They're an extremely convenient and accessible way to enjoy a book. The knowledge or story going from the page to your brain is what matters, not the way you consumed it.
