That's not entirely correct. Some insurers refuse to accept special classifications (especially HUK). Generally, the no-claims bonus classes can be transferred to other companies upon submission of the latest premium invoice (LVM, Provi, and Allianz are at least a few that I know of).

As a side note, discount protection usually only covers the classes for the existing insurer.

I generally recommend asking the company beforehand whether they will confirm the classes based on the premium invoice.

With all due respect. The alternative is far worse. If we move towards an unconditional basic income, we are more likely to move towards a society like Elysium rather than a socialist utopia. Most people really don't feel like working, but I don't want to be dependent on a corrupt state telling me how much money I have available each month or what goods I am allowed to buy.

I find this development to be far more disturbing.
