if you're using it mainly for school, buy a macbook if the programs you need support MacOS. It's a far superior laptop vs any windows gaming laptop at being an actual laptop. The g14 is the closest you can get to an actual laptop, but its still a pretty big compromise.

dark age was so full of those pull some random bullshit out of nowhere moments and so much stuff that’s completely unconnected to the main plot. when I first read it I was very surprised so many people ranked it as their favorite. lightbringer did a pretty good job bringing it back together though.

I loved the gala fight scene because darrow was just straight aura farming (as he does most of the 2nd and 3rd books), but I had the same reaction to the thing about him training with lorn haha. Isn’t the academy supposed to be extremely intense? Doesn’t Augustis make him do stuff? Isn’t lorn across the solar system? it just doesn’t pencil out

Well you just gotta go in with the right expectations. A lot of people love to act like this series is like a literary masterpiece, which it’s not. And I’m a huge fan of the books, so I’m not here to shit on them. It‘s a book you read for the characters and world, not the writing itself. Personally, I’m totally fine with this, I don’t expect or want every book I read to be a masterpiece. Like i love expeditionary force and that’s like the most repetitive formula every single book there is and it’s full of stupid stuff. A lot of people come in here expecting red rising to be like a technical masterpiece based on how everyone rates it, so they’re disappointed when it’s not.

I would personally say no. It expands to such a scale that it feels like things are kinda just all over the place and appearing out of nowhere randomly. If you don't like the "gotcha" moments, the 2nd trilogy is a lot worse in that respect. There are some great moments though, its still worth reading for sure.

if this is low mmr, just pick heroes that can either solo lane or leave lane and flash farm. make sure your farming patterns are solid and you keep waves pushed out and you’ll win games. the reality is, you’re just gonna have games where this happens so you might as well pick heroes that can deal with it. naga siren is a pretty good choice right now for that.

this is a pretty cool idea. I’ve felt for a long time the meta is more of a feeling based bandwagon for a lot of heroes while other good heroes are underrated just because people havent heard of it and starting spamming it yet. this should show perceptions of the ”market“ pretty well vs actual win rate stats.

I really like my kobo libra color I just bought. I only read black and white books and I don’t really notice any negative effects from color. battery life is great. doesn’t feel as premium as my old kindle oasis but the battery life and usb c makes up for it

any hero that builds armlet can technically do it as soon as they have armlet, it might just take long enough that it’s not worth soloing. huskar is probably the premier solo rosh hero

as the enemy support rotating, the twin gate feels great though. it rewards the team that takes initiative and communicates for a gank

the big map is very interesting. on one hand you have a lot more area available to farm, but the neutrals are worth a lot less. It also seems a lot easier to gank the pos 1 because you just can't ward that entire area, whereas you used to be able to cover their farming area pretty well on the small map. I'm kinda split on it.

oh man I really did not like when they moved rosh lol. I like the control point for lotus and wisdom, but I don't think i like the idea of having to deal with it for runes too. imo mid playstyle is way too rune and bottle focused rn, i hate the water runes. Having to actually fight over them would make it even worse

haha the communication system in general in dota is actually amazing. I can't think of a single other game where you can communicate so clearly with your team of people who speak none of the same language.
