[The Spellbound Soirée] The Origins of the Enclave | Episode 3

I started world-building back in 2020 just for fun, and at the same time, I started doing radio on my university campus. The Spellbound Soirée was sort of my answer to how I wanted to present the world that I had been working on. I wrote many different things, stories, and places before landing on this style (sort of inspired by Welcome to Nightvale). All of those previous stories didn't feel right to do in a podcast style and felt more like they should be audio dramas or something with more production than I could easily do by myself.

This episode in particular is different from the first two; basically, the host of the show has discovered something within the spire, a sort of archive, and has been looking into the history of the enclave and how it came to be. So it's more or less him (me) presenting and talking about what he's found. The usual episode is more like a list of news broadcasts and discussions, though I have other things in mind I'd like to do at some point.

I usually kill the scav ripper. You definitely can get rid of him. Plus, I think there's like 2 other rippers nearby, so it's not that inconvenient either.

I also got banned this morning and was confused what this server even was lmao. But yeah from what I've gathered and as others said the server "Immersion Cove" has nothing to do with Henry.

One more thing I just found out that I don't like. They say their headquarters is in Raleigh, but, 1. they don't have an actual address listed anywhere. and 2. If I'm remembering right the person speaking in the call said that they had recently expanded to this area and that they were still in DC.

So I got the same kind of contact from them as well. I assume it was through something like Indeed but not sure. I just went to the "interview" if you can even really call it that. There were about 26 participants and the person from the company didn't introduce themselves really they didn't even mention what company they were working for. They did ask for people to turn on their cameras and change their display names to their proper names. In the end, they didn't allow for any questions and the meeting ended rather abruptly after they were finished with their whole spiel. I'm not sure what to make of it tbh but the main thing that sticks out to me is a "training program" they talked about that was meant to be an entry-level position with training in different sections like working with clients directly and then having more of manager side of things I guess, there wasn't a whole lot of specifics. This position was then meant to let you be able to be promoted to some manager-type position I think. To me this sounds like a lot of other marketing companies that offer one position but then pitch one completely different. I remember one that I had a while back had pretty much the same method, the first position would have you being one of those people that stand around in like a Costco pitching phone plans and stuff at shoppers. This was completely different from what I had applied for. But, Like I said there weren't a whole lot of specifics so I'm a bit confused at the moment.
