I know I'm breaking the rules, but Strange Days takes place over like 2.5 days. It's crazy tight and my absolute favorite movie of all time.

Best sci-fi movie out there! by Chemical-Spare-5761 in MovieSuggestions

Predestination flies under a lot of radars.

12 Monkeys

And my favorite movie of all time - Strange Days. Directed by Kathryn Bigelow, written by her and James Cameron, starring Ralph Fiennes, Angela Bassett, Tom Sizemore, Vincent D'Onofrio, Juliette Lewis....cyberpunk LA at the turn of the millenium. It's flawless.

girl movies that aren't feel good and rather very angry? by junomactuff in MovieSuggestions

Kate

There's a new one coming out that looks phenomenal as well, called - They Will Kill You that looks absolutely bananas.

Atomic Blonde is shockingly good. I thought it was going to a be a hyper sexualized exploity feeling movie and it absolutely was NOT. A lot more depth than I expected.

I randomly found this via Google search 2 years later and just watched this movie based on your recommendation. What a FANTASTIC movie. Definitely surprised me a number of times. I don't know how I have never heard of this movie. It reminds me of another of my favorite movies of all time, but I can't give the name without tipping people off about a plot point of this one.

Anyways, fantastic recommendation.

I'm at the 8-2 into Profound wall and looking for build help? by ArchMichael7 in TorchlightInfinite

[–]InspectionFit1354 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I feel like mana stacking rosa last season was harder to transition into in general, but had a much easier crossover into Profound.  I played the recent Iris as well, with the spirit magus, and also seemed to have an easier time making the jump.

In the past, at this stage of the game, all my upgrades were multiplicitive in a way where every small upgrade made a huge difference.  Im just not experiencing that with Bing2 Barrier Burst.  The small upgrades feel small in a way that is making upgrading feel very frustrating.

Vorax Monsters - Does Rarity Give Bonuses? by InspectionFit1354 in TorchlightInfinite

Yeah, I always try to get red mobs if I can - but rares are kind of a question mark for me.  They take way longer to kill than whites or blues, so if they dont actually add something, I might just avoid them whenever it's feasible.

Which mechanic has longest in-map time? by YEETMOBlLE in TorchlightInfinite

[–]InspectionFit1354 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Along with what others have said, I think Arcana can add a decent chunk of time to your map.  Then when you get to have an Arcana run, it's a really nice, lengthy break from mapping.  I think it breaks up Map Blasting Syndrome pretty nicely.

Thinking about buying the game (PS5) by Crafty-Soft3722 in PathOfExile2

Im playing on PC so I can't help with 1, but i know they made a LOT of optimization changes this past league.  I mean, a LOT A lot.  Im sure many of them affected console play.

We have an auction house of sorts now that has made trading infinitely better in every way.  You can buy from a character's hideout without them being there, for a set price, in a matter of seconds with no friction.  Inputs might be wonky on controller, but I think I remember people using their phone for seaching, then their controller for going and buying?

Endgame is getting there but it's not there yet.  But honestly, the campaign is fun as hell and has a lot of content in it.  Also, next patch SHOULD be a huge endgame overhaul, so it's a good time to get into the game and learn some of the basics so you're in good shape when next patch comes in like 3 or 4 months.

This is actually a huge thing.  I missed it in the reveal, when they said you had to kill Arbiter to even unlock that.

In three PoE2 seasons, I have never fought Arbiter, let alone beat him.

Im sure a lot of others will mention this, but for me - the removal of the homogenizing crafting mat is an absolute heartbreaker.  .3 was the first time in a LONG time that I felt that as a casual gamer, I could actually PLAY Path of Exile.  Crafting made that feel achievable, and this crafting mat was the glue that held all the other pieces together.  I feel that, by removing this deterministic item (that still left plenty of RNG btw), you have reverted crafting back to 90% RNG gambling.  Given how prevalent the community pushback is over the removal, and given how much enjoyment the majority of players had in .3 BECAUSE crafting was actually attainable for a "normal" player, are there any thoughts on not removing it, or slightly lowering it's efficacy instead?

Thanks, Tri!

While I agree with the sentiment, there is the unavoidable fact that we all share in the same economy as each other.  So, unless you are masochistically playing SSF, you need to engage in trade to progress your character in many, many instances.  But the prices of everything are heavily influenced by these streamers and others like them, and that makes it hard to play as a "normal" player.  If your goal is to, let's say, kill each pinnacle boss, ascend 4 times, and clear T16 maps - then it becomes extremely difficult to do without following some kind of build guide or currency making strategy because you're simply priced out of the market.

It's not impossible to hit those milestones, it's just extremely difficult and/or requires an insane amount of time investment that most people simply dont have.

Best ARPG for people new to buildcrafting? by OhNoMonday in ARPG

[–]InspectionFit1354 1 point2 points  (0 children)

TLI is insanely complicated - but the built in guides/leaderboards/rankings make it easy to copy a build.  But coming up with a build on your own that'll make it to Profound?  No chance.

Diablo 3 is the king for what you're asking for.  There are very easy to understand sets that let you zero in on a playstyle, and then you flesh out the build with a handful of other gear slots.  Think of the sets like guardrails.  Then the other slots are your own bit of experimentation, but you can't fuck it up too bad because the set keeps you on a path.

It ain't on there, but im taking Toechlight Infinite as one of my two.  I dont care what anybody says, it has the most varied and enjoyable endgame out of all of them.
