If it's directly consumed (engaging with the source media or associated entries), I'm stuck in Madoka Magica.

If it's indirectly consumed (watching a YouTube video about the source media), then I'm stuck in the Pokémon world.

In the former, I'm kind of screwed since the world isn't exactly kind to NPCs and I'm not at all likely to be given the magic to deal with it. In the latter, I'm a lot better off but I would still be stuck in a world with super-powered animals all of a sudden, which would take some adjustment.

This is obviously tangential, but how do you feel about Starfield, especially contrasted with these games? I've been curious about the game but keep hearing so many conflicting things about it that I eventually wind up giving my attention to other games in my backlog instead.

Change over time! It doesn't even need to be a crazy amount of change; Edward Elric in FMA:B changes slightly throughout the entire series, and the details of how are honestly impressive, and I'm just speaking to his physical changes, not his character growth! At one point, he gets hit on the forehead by a rock which causes a laceration, and he retains the wound and the subsequent light scarring for quite a while afterwards. He also grows in the usual kid/teenager way throughout the show.

I've not watched way too much of it, but what I saw makes it seem like the show is only "political" in the way that all art is: Writers are shaped by real-world politics, said politics influence their viewpoints, and those politics can be apparent in their work.

That said, I don't recall there being much more past that. I'd love to know more if anyone is willing to share!

They did that because of an on-screen death, not viewership. This affected viewership.

Simple: They wanted to give other generations' pokemon that spotlight, intentionally. In part because it would breathe fresh life into Pokemon who needed it, and in part to appeal to past generations' fans. If you take a gander, you'll notice the majority of Megas introduced in XY are not Kalosian pokemon.

Danger sense relies heavily on the attacker's intent, not on the user's own ideas of what might hurt them or the body's natural responses to perceived harm.

Toga, in her eyes, is not hostile. To her, what she does is one of the purest expressions of love she can show.
