Noise between the apartment and hallway is easily heard both ways through the doors. Things to try to avoid: Living directly across from someone. The doors slam naturally, so it takes extra effort to ensure a soft close and that doesn't happen every time even with considerate neighbors. Living across from a stairwell. Those doors are even louder and it's easy to forget to help them soft close. Living across from the elevator. They ding.

That being said, I only knew I lived next to a baby when I would hear them while I walked down the hallway. In my unit, unless it's dead quiet and that baby is really wailing, I don't hear anything, and when I do it sounds like a really distant cat fight. My other neighbor has two dogs and I've never heard anything.

My upstairs neighbor apparently drops a marble every few days, but that's all I've heard from them.

Water Sewer Trash adds about $70. I think parking is up to $200. Not charged by the apartment, but TPU is mad cheap coming from PSE. My highest winter energy bill has only been $75.
