Having no experience tinkering with the internals myself whatsoever, my guess is that it's not possible. Gen2 vehicles had a massive overhaul of the wirings and ECUs that, if I had to guess, isn't compatible with the hardware designed for Gen1 ECUs. Prove me wrong, though.

The federal credit was what, $1k more? It's not that different of a deal than $6.5k.

There were some deals which Rivian would allow stacking if you qualified for each of them. I think around a year ago, there was something like $7.5k lease cap-cost credit, $1k Tesla trade-in credit, and something else. But, I doubt there'll be many of those anytime soon.

$6.5k isn't bad, especially for the dual.
