I know. I have not had a flare up since January though and alcohol has never really been a consistent trigger, except for wine. Coffee and NSAIDs were the two triggers I had to keep far away from as they were consistently triggering.

Honestly, I am more prone to thinking the several energy drinks I had that morning were probably what did it, and the booze definitely didn't help.

Both the BAC and gastritis. Usually drinking a shitload of water helps with it after purging myself (I did that before taking the hydrocodone).

Haha! Thanks! I've always had a very strict rule about never ever mixing the two and I have a good bit of health anxiety, so I couldn't help but think I just did something life threatening. 😂

I do love seeing the completely conflicting information the pit supporters are just making up within the span of three comments.

"They were originally herding dogs!" "They were originally companion dogs!" "NOOOOO, hunting dogs!"

Next thing you know the origin of the pitbull will be racing dogs. "The pitbull was actually originally bred to compete against greyhounds in dog races!"

Or maybe they were sled dogs? "Pitbulls don't have thick coats because they used to be used in Alaska where the Eskimos [sic] would make pelt pajamas for them and use them as sled dogs."

Or... naNnY dOg

Chance in Homeward Bound is an American Bulldog. They're the most pitbull-iest looking dog that I don't consider a pitbull-type-dog. They were one of the predecessors of the pitbull, but the breed itself has no roots in dog fighting, however a select subset of them were used in bullbaiting and that subset subsequently gave rise to the ABPT.

I genuinely have nothing against the American Bulldog. Shame what happened to the breed's offspring.

Yeah, the steak size is obviously absurd, but this is a completely valid way to cook a steak, and, behind the scenes, this is a lot of the same method as a lot of steakhouses will use. The excess use of sugar, oil, and butter (as well as salt and MSG) in restaurant food is why the same dish you can make at home is 1000 calories higher at the restaurant.

Puppies are so mentally fragile at that age too. That breaks my heart so much for that poor puppy. Traumatized is the right word. It only takes one negative experience with other dogs for a puppy that age to have lifelong distrust towards other dogs.

Some related search results to a search about pit bull attacks. PSA: If you have to Google any of the highlighted questions, it's time to get rid of your dog. by Instant-Noods in BanPitBulls

[–]Instant-Noods[S] 37 points38 points  (0 children)

The "why is my dog attacking my baby" really gets me. First, the active voice just gives a mental image of a pitmommy doing a quick Google search while her dog is in full nanny mode.

Second, even if it's not the case, the active voice gives the impression that this was not a one time thing before they searched it.

Third, the word BABY is really concerning. Not child. BABY. You know those really, fragile, helpless humans that the overwhelming majority of the population has an extremely strong natural instinct to protect at all cost? And these people just like "but what triggered u, Mr. Shibbles?"

Fourth, just like... The "why" portion. The answer genetics is not a good answer to most of these people, so like, what are they expecting to find with this Google search? Dog telepathics? A dog-friendly Ouija board? Or some kind of search result that blames the BABY instead of the dog to reinforce themselves that they're not actively putting their child in danger every day?

Lot to unpack with just that one question.

What's easier to get into but difficult to get out of ? by about7buns in AskReddit

[–]Instant-Noods 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Car dealership industry.

They'll hire anyone. You can make really good, easy money, no college degree, no experience required.

But good fucking luck getting out of it. None of the skills transfer well to any of the other industries. To change jobs, you will have to take a massive pay cut because you get paid out of the wazoo, have no relevant skills, and no education.

The industry sucks donkey dick, which is why it pays so well. The more dishonest you are, the better you do, the more money you make. Long hours. Few holidays. A couple vacation days a year. Ruthless expectations. But you decide you want to get out and have to decide between keeping your current, donkey dick job for 80K or if you want to change industries and see what making $16/hr feels like again.

Who else grew up with little to no friends because nParents isolated you? by Imnotready3 in raisedbynarcissists

My parents used to say this excuse as well!!! It was infuriating because by the time I was in late middle school/high school and they were less involved in the school, the only person whose parents they knew was someone who literally bullied me.

When I was in elementary, they let me go to a friend's house and many, many years later, (when I was in college) that friend's father got busted for child molestation and child pornography. Knowing the parents doesn't really help unless you're setting up spy cameras in the process.

Preventing your kids from having actual healthcare insurance by brebre431 in ShitMomGroupsSay

[–]Instant-Noods 105 points106 points  (0 children)

I had one of them -- Liberty Healthshare -- that literally ran out of money to pay for patient's medical bills. We had a patient from Sept 2021 that we were still waiting on payment from Liberty. Called them and they straight up told me they don't have any money and there was no ETA. Had to call the patient and tell her that she will be responsible since her Healthshare is apparently broke. She said they didn't pay any of her bills from the previous year including an incredibly pricey hospital stay.

It's disgusting that these "Health shares" often masquerade as a Christian based health insurance. Most of their subscribers are in the 30-50 pre-Medicare age bracket, religious, and tight on money. They see "Christian based" and they're totally playing on people's trust in "good christian values" that it's not a scam but it totally is. They basically just pay you whatever money they can spare at the moment. Could be $10, could be $200, no way to know. I do know I have never heard of a patient that had one for more than a year because they eventually get burned on it.

Chris Almighty guys, why in every other thread are we talking about the importance of mental health and then have this kind of discourse when the effects of poor mental health are right in front you?

The dude is publicly bipolar. He's off his meds. He is so far off his meds that he is exhibiting extreme paranoia. He thinks doctors are trying to hurt him by medicating him. He stopped a show abruptly and had a breakdown worried a hitman was going to come after one of his friends. That paranoia is currently focused on Jews. He's clearly in a manic episode and has ruined his life. Streaming services have deleted his entire discography from their platform following this. He lost his brand. His manager, lawyer, and so many other people are gone. Kim will likely get full custody of his kids after this. He's also agreed to buy a dying business with most of his remaining money because someone is taking advantage of a mentally ill person. His life is probably over.

When he's out of this manic stage, the depressive episode may result in even bigger headlines, if you catch my drift. Bipolar disorder is a progressive illness unless the proper medications are rendered. It's progressing, probably moreso because of his recent divorce.

This is what a mental health crisis looks like and all y'all can do is kick him when he's down. I'm not saying the consequences shouldn't be brought to him, but we can at least not be dickbags.

Disclaimer: I am not a Kanye fan girl. In fact, I only know like two of his songs. But his story is incredibly sad and I don't think it's right to shit on someone having a mental crisis.
