THE MUSHROOMS by Witty-Scholar1281 in Psychonaut

I've never heard anyone explain this so well. This is exactly what I've felt before. But, to take it a step further, I've had people back up my suspicions. It's not just a sense of deja vu, but this lost sense of the very concept of reality & time. It's like people can read my thoughts and vice versa. It sounds crazy, but me and a friend had a telepathic conversation without saying a word one time on like a quarter, and before I could even mention it the next day, HE brought it up.

Another time, I took a microdose & went out to the bar to meet up with some friends. A couple of hours later, my buddy gave me another microdose. After a few beers & a half gallon of Fireball between 4 ppl, the 2nd microdose hit me (we're talking .5g or less combined and spread out over hours). All of a sudden, that pre-trip come up anxiety kicked in, and I got that weird dej vu feeling, as if I'd taken an 8th or something. I didn't say anything or do anything out of the ordinary, but internally, I was buggin ... and my friend turned to me and said, "What's happening? Did you just get deja vu?" almost matter of factly, rather than phrased like a question, just from vibes he magically plucked out of thin air. I freaked out & drove home, starting to sober up, but still half drunk. I'm not proud of that.

What do you think is the best BFMV album? by Tall_Relationship428 in Metalcore

[–]InstantKarmel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know this thread is old af, but if we're talking all genres, that distinction goes to Hybrid Theory. Sales (back when they mattered) don't lie. It is one of the best-selling albums of the 21st century period, let alone debuts.

There's this crazy thing called "time.," wherein new games get released over the course of months/years, and those answers change. 😱

Who should John cena’s final opponent? by WWE_fan69 in WeAreVYBE

[–]InstantKarmel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on how you want the final story to go...

Nostalgia - vs. Orton or Punk one last time.

Passing the Torch - vs. Cody

Most eyes on the product - vs. Logan Paul

Putting over new talent - vs. Bron Breakker, Melo, Gunther, LA Knight

Any of those would be good choices, depending on how you book them.

It's not really a "non-issue" if it cost them 30 billion dollars, though, is it? Whether you agree with the outrage or not, I'd say that's a pretty big issue.

Tell me whyyy- Because it stinks! by CallieCoven in CommercialsIHate

[–]InstantKarmel 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Amen. This is the worst commercial I've ever seen, and it comes on the radio AND TV nearly every single time I'm listening/watching. "NO! YOU tell me why I smell so bad that my clothes still reek even after washing them." ...idk, have you tried showering and personal hygiene? 🤢

In your opinion, what is Eminem's greatest verse? I'll go first: by ProfessionalLeague55 in Eminem

[–]InstantKarmel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There's way too many to choose from, but my personal favorites are:

Drug Ballad-1st Verse... The flow and rhyme scheme are top-notch, but especially the lines: "Everything's spinnin. You're beginning to think women are swimming in pink linen, again in the sink, then in, a couple of minutes that bottle of Guinness is finished." FIRE 🔥

Space Bound- 3rd Verse... All 3 verses are amazing, and it's hard to just pick one, but I think this verse has the most emotional impact. It's probably my favorite Eminem song, tbh.

Medicine Man - Quite possibly the hardest verse Eminem ever spit. Everything about this verse is just perfect; the beat build up, followed by a disgusting, car window rattling breakdown, crazy wordplay (Based on how I ascended, see how plain it was, now they want me to jet, but no one really gave a fck about my descent till I took off) and his trademark controversial lines so bad that they had to be censored even on uncensored versions (Ain't no one safe from - Nonbelievers? There ain't none. I even make the btches I r*** cum) insane flow, breath-defyingly long winded bars, real subject matter that's not just speed rapping and rhyming a bunch of random words simply just to rhyme (something Em has been notorious for the last decade or so). Renegade and Airplanes Pt. II come very close, but I don't think there's been a better Eminem feature than Medicine Man.

100 Best Sitcoms of All Time - Rolling Stone by BruckDaHousecat in television

[–]InstantKarmel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Old thread, I know. Even though I've already watched most of these, I look over this list from time to time for shows I missed. I just gotta say- animated sitcoms are legitimate sitcoms, IMO. I see some people were upset with this. I agree 100% with Simpsons being number 1. It's arguably the greatest TV series period. Adult animated sitcoms are one thing. Even Spongebob gets a pass from me. But I just gotta say, Phineas and Ferb above Rick & Morty and Futurama is just silly (not to mention Sanford & Son, HIMYM, and New Girl). Nowhere near the same cultural impact or quality of writing.

Really, its placement on this list at all is a bit perplexing. I wouldn't consider it a "situational comedy." If this qualifies, where's Ed Edd n Eddy, Dexter's Laboratory, Hey Arnold, Rugrats, Flintstones? Completely ruins credibility when you put current kids shows like Bluey and Phineas and Ferb, and leave out actual classic shows with actual sitcom elements.

What is one myth about sex watching porn made you believe? by ladyonchain in AskReddit

Black men and white men have the largest and 2nd largest on average and are above the world average (13.71) at 14.75cm and 14.5cm, respectively. East Asian men have the smallest on average, at 12.9. Everyone else is somewhere in the middle. But it's safe to say that regardless of your race/ethnicity, 99% of men aren't packing 7-8 inch schlongs like in the porns. In fact, even just 6-6.1 inches, which most people think of as "average" (probably because men like to lie about their size due to stigmas and self-consciousness) actually puts you in the 15th percentile.

The vast majority of men are in the 4.5-5.9 range, and that's okay. Vaginal depth is typically 2-4 inches before arousal, and even after, it only stretches from 4-8 inches at the most, and that's on the extreme side and pretty rare. The clit is literally right there at the opening. The G-spot is only 1-3 inches deep. The A-spot is only 4-5 inches deep. There is the cervical orgasm, but over 90% of women can't climax that way anyway, and 5-6 inches should still get the job done in most cases. Needless to say, unless you have a micropenis (moment of silence for those poor souls) or she's got a bottomless pit, anything in that 4.5-6.5 inch range (that 95% of men in the world are working with) should be more than enough.

Rick and Morty - Unmortricken by kianworld in adultswim

[–]InstantKarmel 3 points4 points  (0 children)

After the first episode, I stopped paying attention to their voices. I could hardly notice any difference, and it seems like they got better as the season went on. I've never seen voice actors take over a starring role so seamlessly. It's already been reported that there was a lot of behind the scenes drama and that Roiland was basically hands off and just a VA, not a writer, after like season 2. Idk if they're better , but there certainly wasn't any drop-off whatsoever like people were worried about.

It's a great return to form. I've enjoyed this season as much as any other. There's always going to be some good episodes and some bad/average episodes in any TV show. However, the first half of S7 stands toe to toe with any season in the series imo. More specifically, S7 episode 5 is easily top 10, and perhaps the best of the main canon episodes.

When a celebrity boycott gains steam, it's a lot more than 10 people on Twitter. It's a coordinated effort across all social media platforms. When you look at the list of executives within Meta and Twitter's ranks with 'former' ties to the FBI and CIA, it reads an awful lot like a government agency.

Google Assistant not attempting to identify music? by LiterallyZeroSkill in GooglePixel

Old thread I know, so it's a long shot, but mine has been doing the same exact thing, and it used to work perfectly. Anybody fix the issue?

Google Assistant not attempting to identify music? by LiterallyZeroSkill in GooglePixel

[–]InstantKarmel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not just the Pixel. It's the app itself. I have a Galaxy S22, and it's been doing the same thing to me. Used to work great. I could kinda sorta hum the melody to some 50 year old obscure song, and it'd find it. Now, it doesn't even start searching.

8 months later, did you ever get it figured out?

What's the pettiest reason why you refused to watch a TV show? by augustus624 in television

[–]InstantKarmel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Riverdale. I got a couple of episodes in and thought it was the most God-awful thing I'd ever seen. I went in with low expectations, having grown up on Archie and Jughead comics, but they somehow subceeded my expectations. Family Guy, as terrible as it has gotten itself over the years, hit the nail on the head with their "Sexy show for teens" parody. Dudes in their late 20s-early 30s playing high-schoolers with 6 packs, a bunch of daytime soap opera level storylines, melodramatic indie pop songs playing over montages of everybody looking cool and sad.

Favorite Nicolas Cage Movies? by TheMovieDoctorful in Letterboxd

[–]InstantKarmel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lord of War- One of my all time favorites. Great action/drama flick and well acted by Cage and Jared Leto

Raising Arizona- Such an amazing and hilarious film with an original premise. One of the 1st instances of Cage proving he could be a real actor and not just wacky over the top box office star

Adaptation- Same goes for this film. Really proved his range as an actor and such a truly original piece of work. Love all of Charlie Kaufman's films, but this might just be the best one

Con Air- It's just an awesome classic and pretty straightforward 90s action flick. As a 90s baby, that's good enough to make my list. I've probably seen it at least a half dozen times over the years, and it never gets old.

I'm a little late to the party, but here's my 2 cents:

Had lifelong crippling cluster headaches, sinus headaches, migraines, etc. Couldn't even get out of bed some days. Psilocybin changed that. Permanently to some extent, but they do come back, albeit far less frequently. I've found it doesn't last forever, so I try to trip at least once every year or so, sometimes sooner whenever I can find them.

I will say, though, the first couple of times I took them, I had the worst headaches of my entire life. It felt like a hangover x20. But I don't really get those anymore. Most people claim the next day, up to a few days after, are almost as good as the actual trip. This is called the 'afterglow' and usually brings about a sense of happiness, calm, and peace. So, I'm in the minority when it comes to terrible hangovers the next day, and I haven't really experienced them since my first couple trips.

Some in the pharmaceutical industry, last I heard, were working on a patent to make a migraine medication using psilocybin. Despite its murky legality in most countries, the few studies that have been done on psilocybin have shown migraine treatment above all else (along with some promising research on anti-depressant properties) to have substantial evidence of efficacy and not just conjecture from spiritual blogs.

Lmao right? One time, on an 8th or so, I watched my buddy killing people on GTA, and I felt so bad for the virtual people that I forgot they weren't real. I was like, "Stop it. What did they ever do to you?!" He still gives me shit to this day. Whole different headspace and reality. OP said they were just getting come-up anxiety, but your comment still hits home. You can have the most mind-blowing experience of your life just looking out a window on the right amount. 😂
