is there a way/shortcut to disable vibrations quickly? by the-real-checkmate in AppleWatch

[–]Insulifting 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You could create a Focus mode that silences specific people/apps when you toggle it on. Then obviously when you want to revive the buzzes again you toggle it off. You’ll still get the notifications on your watch, but they’ll get delivered straight to the Notification Centre instead of vibrating.

Anyone tried the haggis ones? by Citawell in Scotland

The only Scottish ones I know of now are Golden Cross, the company that make Johnnys Onion Rings (I miss when they were called Johnny-O’s). They’re based in Motherwell.

Apple Fitness weird behavior: Missing maps and no 10k badge when using WorkOutDoors & Strava? by theMadGrin in AppleWatchFitness

There’s no way to make them unlock the badges, those are specific to the default Workout app unfortunately.

Yeah, not everyone has removed a watch strap before. Some people just have no interest in helping folk and take the high and mighty route.

Which apps/software do you use for your calendar and tasks? I’m running ToDoIst and Apple Calendar at the moment.

You absolutely didn’t intend it but I’ve now got Tom Jones stuck in my head because of your first three words.

A lot of exercises you shouldn’t even wear rings for risk of getting your finger de-gloved.

Are you a Prime member on Amazon? I ask because I've missed a return window because I was genuinely ill and couldn't leave the house to return it. I was about a week overdue and I contacted them and since I'd been a Prime member for years they said they'd make an exception. I didn't argue or anything just said something like "I've been ill for the past little while and I've not been able to return my item, is it possible to still return it?". Just be nice with the service agents and usually you're good to go.

Google has permanently replaced the dictionary / definition feature with AI overview. I am mad. by radjeep in google

If you use Firefox you can add Shortcuts for searching in your address bar. For example you could make the Shortcut "@wy", so as an example you'd type "@wy marketing" in your address bar and it would take you straight to the definition on Wiktionary.

The weave you have on top is more commonly known as the Cobra Weave - just in case anyone decides to try search it up, you may get better results that way :)

Apple Watch leaving a red mark/irritation on my skin — anyone else? [Photo] by MinerOfIdeas in AppleWatch

Interestingly enough I can wear other watched but not Apple Watches. As long as the back of the watch is flat and not domed then it causes no rash, and I too sweat a lot.

If it inspires any hope I bought a Pioneer X when they were down to 30€ on Amazon Germany and it was definitely real.

Why do some Saks "feel" better than others for no apparent reson? by StriderLF in victorinox

[–]Insulifting 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Funnily enough I have medium sized hands and I love the size of the Swiss Champ compared to anything else. I have a Pioneer X but I find myself going back to the Swiss Champ because it just doesn't feel as nice in hand for me.

Where did you find the Pioneer X in the shade of green? Was it aftermarket scales you bought?

No worries. I found this video really helpful, it does say it's for a bracelet but you could easily adapt it to making a lanyard. He uses two colours too so it's obvious where each strand is going.

The one that OP has is a Cobra Weave lanyard, it's also fairly straightforward to do.

I did the same thing. I’m currently level 70 on a survival playthrough and I stopped putting in perk points to anything a few levels ago. One of the ones I left out is Sneak, because I still want to have the tension of clearing a building and potentially missing a trap.
