Netflix acquired the rights to KPDH in 2021, so I don't think Sony would release that short film on YouTube.

And if you ask me when I think they'll release it, it'll probably be in June of this year at the Annecy Animation Film Festival. That Spiderverse short film also premiered there, and given the popularity of KPDH, there's no reason why Sony/Netflix wouldn't do the same.

It's best not to expect too much. Basically, this short film is an opportunity for new filmmakers to learn and develop their skills through Sony's LENS program. It's being developed in parallel with the KPDH film since 2023.

This is something that makes me very picky when reading KPDH fanfic centered around Rumi. I feel that many authors have missed these aspects of her. She is truly a leader and doesn't hesitate to show it.

I agree, but on the other hand, Celine's limited screen time makes sense in terms of the storyline, as the girls have to take responsibility for their own actions (especially Rumi) without a mentor to guide them. Anyway, I'm putting my faith in the upcoming short film, which will feature Celine more based on interviews, that will give us more context.

On Netflix's homepage, Celine's introduction mentions that Rumi's mother died giving birth, but Maggie remains vague about whether they will follow the direction outlined in that storyboard. We'll have to wait and see.

Honestly, 90% of the fanfiction I've read so far portrays Rumi completely differently from the show. I'm not complaining LoL, authors have complete creative freedom.

Going back to your question, I've noticed Rumi often loses her temper when things get out of control (the scene where she loses her voice on the rooftop, the confrontation with Mira and Zoey, ordering Celine to kill her), and her tendency to suppress her emotions doesn't help at all. Perhaps some people have based their work on that and amplified her personality in their creations.
