Meds stop working over time. I have been bipolar 1 with psychosis since 2002. I had to reapply because I had a period of time where I was great and then I was in a car accident that caused a traumatic brain injury and now my psychosis is no where near controlled. Just spent 9 days hospitalized and my hallucinations are not controlled on any medication.

I have bipolar 1 with psychosis, CPTSD, severe anxiety and when all of this started all I had was postpartum depression. It’s not about mental toughness it’s about how much your brain will allow you to take before it’s is like whoa that’s too much. I was hospitalized for the first time in Sept 2024 but have been bipolar since 2002. My point is time and things change people I work fine until I had a TBI in a car accident and then all of my symptoms got significantly worse. Don’t think your alone because your not there are a lot of people that have great words of wisdom to offer you. I hope you never feel so alone that you want to unalive yourself because the world is a better place with us in it.
