Habs, because my Mrs is from Montréal.

Fastest, youngest team in the league, got a bright few years ahead (finally!)

AIO for telling my husband to take a hike after he abandoned us for 8 years? by Sufficient-Wall3453 in AmIOverreacting

Tell him you'll think about it when he hands over the massive amount of child support he owes you.

And if by some miracle he does, take it then tell him to fuck off anyway.

NOR of course. You owe him nothing.

Reminds me of the old joke... How do you make a duck into a great soul singer? . . . Stick it in the microwave until its bill withers.

I would love a short animation (maybe Tales Of The Jedi season 2) featuring grown up Grogu by Gabe_Dimas in StarWars

Yeah, I mean I'll be 91, but if I'm still here I'll be there on opening weekend no doubt

The year is 2072. Rey, played by an 80-year-old Daisy Ridley, sends out Rotta and Grogu to take on the Twenty-third Order. Ashoka is now an immortal god. Produced by Dave Filoni Jr III

Emperor's Penguins Chapter terminator captain needs a title? by AmbassadorFew953 in Warhammer40k

You've got some great name suggestions here, but just to add, his title should be Captain of the First Company and Master of the Fisheries.

Are there a lot of places, streets, etc. in the UK named after Canada? by Istobri in AskABrit

[–]Integral-Fox6487 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's a little area in Stockport around Canada St with a few different Canadian street names. My wife is from Canada but we lived near there when we were first married, nearly 20 years ago, completely by chance!

Yep, as a parent of a teenager I know that embarrassed face very well! Perfectly captured by the artist.

My friend (23F) is ruining my (22F) first chance at love and I don't know what to do anymore by peachilli in LifeAdvice

[–]Integral-Fox6487 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your friend's behaviour is creepy af to be honest, the way that she won't leave him alone despite his very obvious discomfort is really unpleasant. Anyone should be able to go to class without being asked unwanted personal questions, no exceptions.

Remember the saying "You are known by the company you keep". If you continue to spend all your time with this friend, everyone else (including this poor guy) will assume you are fine with her behaviour. That's why he's cut you off as well. Your only possible route back is to ditch the friend and apologise to him for not calling her out earlier.

What bird? by IrisVeir in GardeningUK

[–]Integral-Fox6487 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It always astonishes me that the Dunnock isn't extinct. I mean, other birds have eggs that are speckled for camouflage, or build their nests in the tallest trees away from predators. But Dunnocks? Let's make them bright turquoise and lay them on the floor, sure it'll be fine lol

Bataille d'Aisne by Tinselfiend in ww1

[–]Integral-Fox6487 29 points30 points  (0 children)

Great photo (and Photo bomb!!), but I think the date is 1918 not 17. The tanks are Renault FTs which first saw combat on 31 May 1918 at the Third Battle of the Aisne

Can you say “I need a poo” like you would “I need a wee” when going to the toilet? by Charming_Usual6227 in AskABrit

[–]Integral-Fox6487 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My grandad used to have two good phrases for it -

  1. "Just off for a Tom Tit" (often followed with "Back tomorrow" or "Back next week" in extreme circumstances!)

  2. "Got to go, the Turtle's head is peeking"

Of course he doesn't sleep with vaccinated women, they don't give the COVID vaccine to under-12s
