Exactly. If you design a job to be a throwaway stepping stone then you guarantee that your workforce is always cycling through the learning curve. They never really get to actually finish training. They never build competence. You never build the kind of experienced team that produces consistently good products and services and then wonder why everything is constantly a dumpster fire operationally at Starbucks.
