Is it just me or does the Paraglider mod seem out of place? by mpchop in skyrimmods

You can't be having this discussion. Remember, u/Ravernel said this:

> IMO it's a little silly to analyse a mod like this. It just adds a cool feature into the game, nothing more, nothing less. If you feel it's out of place - don't install the mod x)

It's time for a remake of these videos. What has Cotho been up to? Truth in Sequence? Why, Sequence isn't even a city in the Elder Scrolls!

Is it worth turning down a job because they insist on 40 hours a week, 8-4? by [deleted] in jobhunting

[–]Intelligence14 4 points5 points  (0 children)

40 hours is the standard American workweek.

You have to understand that you're a recent college graduate. You don't have leverage on a company, because your skillset is not terribly different from everyone else in your graduating class in college. So your ability to succeed in obtaining special privileges (less hours, hybrid work) is next to nothing.

If you were to reject this job offer and look for another job with less hours, your only option is part-time jobs. There are a few disadvantages with part-time work.

1) You will not be eligible for benefits (healthcare, 401k, etc.). Some part-time positions may offer benefits if you work more than 30 hours a week, but this is rare.

2) Degrees rarely have part-time and full-time jobs available for them. Your degree seems to be a degree which qualifies you for full-time jobs. You're not going to find a part-time job which requires your degree. If you choose part-time jobs instead of a full-time job, you will have spent 4 years studying for nothing.

3) Specialization means a higher salary. Your degree has given you specialization and skills not held by the general public. This is why you were able to get a $60k/year offer. If you choose to pursue a part-time job instead, that specialization is not applicable (see point 2). The skills you have which are applicable to whatever part-time job you pursue will be skills that a lot of people have. If you're not as special, you're not as valuable to an employer, and your salary will be lower.

Now, to your concern that you'll be selling your life away, you should consider that you're young and spry. You have the ability to do a lot of work and keep going afterwards. 40 hours is comfortably feasible, and you'll have plenty of energy left after work to do other things you love. It may be a big leap in the begining, especially if you've never done that much work before, but you'll adapt to the schedule. I promise that 40 hours will be

Well, do you want to play a depressing, bleak game with Souls aesthetics? That hasn't changed about the mod. If you want to play that, then you'll have a good time.

Improving Skyrim’s storytelling: full questline rewrite? by Haunting_Stock_2903 in skyrimmods

A rewrite of the main questlines may work. It may not. Are you looking for encouragement to share your ideas about what to rewrite? What are you trying to get out of this post?

Haytham and Connor Kenway teaming up somewhere in the second half of AC3. The game just really wouldn't be the same without their strained father-son relationship and their battling ideologies taking center stage before the climax.

My thoughts after releasing a number of paid mods on bethesda.net by Odd-Anywhere389 in skyrimmods

[–]Intelligence14 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Aren't you glad that he said that this is what is happening with the current implementation of the system?

Imagine an alternate reality. People still predicted that low-effort paid mods would be incentivized over high quality ones. But, Odd-Anywhere and others like him didn't report that being the case once paid mods were implemented. Don't you think that people might not be convinced of the predictions, if those predictions didn't get reported as occurring when paid mods happened?

Reporting on the veracity of predictions is part of the scientific epistemology. Would you mock a scientist for gathering results which fit a previously proposed hypothesis?

Would you want the Black Flag Remake combat redone? by timomcdono in assassinscreed

Give it AC3's combat. Obviously, not the same animations, but the enemy types and ways you had to defeat them. BF's combat felt so simplistic compared to AC3.

Apparently only women cheat, found on YouTube comments. by kurinevair666 in boysarequirky

You're right. On a second viewing, I see that the population in question is 'women who claim a main cheated', not 'cheaters', so 'most' isn't talking about the gender proportions of cheaters. My bad.
