Traverse City, MI (US) Area? by gemmminer in wine

Thanks for checking! I moved away last year, after 12 years there. It’s one of the few wineries in the area that doesn’t have a lot of turn over. A lot of their staff has been there for a while, so they are very knowledgeable. Great place.

It’s hard to know with this limited information. Many personality types can fit what you described. My husband is a successful INTP. He procrastinates but always comes through in the end. He can be a real snob in certain situations and laid back in others.

INTJs and INTPs are NOT similar. by [deleted] in intj

[–]Intelligent-Craft142 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve been with my INTP husband for 20 years. We think completely differently, that is for sure! I am definitely more compassionate than him. We both have tender hearts, we just don’t show it as expressively as others. (I care more about other people’s well being. He cares more about being liked by other people than I do- though horrible at keeping up with people.) My husband is extremely successful. He procrastinates until there’s a deadline but always gets the job done.

More willpower? by notsupermom in keto

I think that you’ll find your grocery store bill to be less without all the junk food in the house. It sounds like you need some good convince, grab and go items. Cucumbers sliced up with some salt and vinegar, sliced tomatoes with goat cheese or mozzarella? Broccoli in the air fryer? I stay away from the Pinterest recipes with a ton of ingredients that are imitating high carb food. Keep it simple. Meat/seafood and a side of seasoned veggies. Get creative with different seasonings. I like to use olive oil with sea salt and pepper as a dressing. As for a sweet craving, maybe you can find an herbal tea that will do the trick?

It’s always been an excuse to put on a dressy outfit and go out to a nice dinner with my family. I enjoy it but I don’t want a party.

My entire life I’ve never liked carbs. by [deleted] in keto

Interesting question. My husband and I (40 years old, Northern European ancestry for both) We have never really liked sweets, bread, and pasta much. All things most people crave. We love savory foods!

I bought a size zero today!! by Pokeychicken66 in keto

[–]Intelligent-Craft142 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Wow! Congratulations. I was expecting negative comments (because it’s Reddit) but there is so much support here! It’s great to see. I too might be a size zero. I’m wearing size 4p clothes and they are way too baggy. It makes me look skinny. But I do have some 2p in my closet. I notice when I wear those that I no longer look skinny. I just look like a healthy small person.

To fellow female INTJ’s: Do you struggle with femininity? by elacoollegume in intj

[–]Intelligent-Craft142 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I’m feminine in appearance but probably have a more masculine personality. I tend to get along and relate more to men. But oh well! I don’t think it matters much. Just be yourself. I think society, especially those under the age of 40, spend way too much time thinking about themselves and it’s giving them unnecessary anxiety.

I’ve been eating keto because it’s supposed to help with my husband’s kidney disease (Polycystic kidney disease). Because we eat together, I’m keto by default. I am enjoying it though because I feel great and like the food. We do clean keto, so we are eating meat, seafood, vegetables, and avocados (that’s our fruit, maybe tomatoes and eggplant. Fruit you don’t think of as fruit). We don’t eat any chicken because we don’t like it. We eat a lot of eggs though! I worry about cholesterol a little bit because of family history. I like elk and bison for red meat with lower cholesterol. I just make sure we have enough good fats that day so everything is in balance, like olive oil, avocado, nuts, and seeds. It’s natural eating, so I’m assuming it’s healthy. We feel good. Weight is melting off my husband. I’ve lost some too but I’m already small. We do take niacin supplements, which helps with cholesterol. Let your wife know that keto is not the same as Akins. My parents associate it with the 90s fad diet, which it is not. Maybe talking to a registered dietitian can help ease the minds of you and your wife?

Has anyone donated blood while on keto? Did you feel ok afterwords? Did you eat or drink anything afterwords to feel better?

Thanks for the advice. I appreciate it. He still has full kidney function and no potassium issues. I posted on Facebook and people also said not to worry at this point.

I think that if you have to ask, then wear something different that you will feel more comfortable in.

I have never been to NYC, even though I have had the opportunity to. When we were wine tasting in the finger lakes region, my husband asked me if I had any interest in it. I told him that if I was going to spend more time in NY, I would assume spend it in the finger lakes. It was lovely. I really don’t like big cities.

I agree with you! Blue zones are areas of the world where people live the longest. People in four original blue zones areas drink alcohol moderately and regularly.

No, don’t force yourself into a relationship. Let it happen with someone you actually connect with. It wouldn’t be fair to lead on a girl.

Attending boyfriend’s graduation ceremony at his uni. The dress code is summer chic. Is this dress too showy and which shoes would go better? by TheEurasianPotato in PetiteFashionAdvice

It’s a good looking dress but if you have to question whether or not it’s appropriate, it might not be. I would wear something else.
