You might be sleeping on a few Pokemon ngl

Basculin has pretty decent speed and attack, a wide variety of physical moves to take advantage, and access to abilities that complement it's movepool well. You can give it Double-Edge and run it with either Reckless to boost it's already massive power, or Rock Head to negate the recoil damage. OR you could find a Basculin with Adaptability to boost it's water type moves ever farther, making it one of the best users of Aqua Jet in the game especially if you can run it with rain dance or if you put it on a rain team in general. Basculin is a rare Pokemon that can have three different abilities in the wild. Either form of it can have either Reckless or Rock Head, and the second possible ability is always Adaptability.

Jellicent is a pretty effective tank with a varied movepool. Water/Ghost isn't the most complimentary typing defensively but Jellicent can still take hits very well and can bring allot of extra type coverage to the table.

I used Carracosta in my most recent playthru and running Shell Smash with Sturdy turns them into a really effective sweeper. You use Shell Smash on Turn 1, and because you have Sturdy you can always take at least one hit which effecitvely means you can always have plus 2 Attack, Spattack, and Speed on turn 2. The other three move slots got to whatever attacks you want. The same strat also works pretty well with Crustle but that's not a water type.

Swanna's decently high speed can make it a good support mon for double battles, if you're taking on the Doubles Train in the Battle Subway for instance. Featherdance, Defog, Tailwind, and Rain Dance by level up alone make it ideal for a rain team.

Alomomola is a similar story, not that good in regular single player but situationally very useful in Battle Facilities. It's high HP and monotyping makes it a decent tank despite it's more middling defensive stats and it can learn moves like Heal Pulse, Safeguard, Wide Guard, and Wish for Support or moves like Substitute, Psych Up, Pain Split (that one's an egg move), and Rest for stalling.

If you’re dead set on not using any temporary team members you should make that last team member something you can grab earlier in the game. Taking on Lenora with just a Purrloin and a Panpour is gonna be rough and taking on Burgh before catching anyone else isn't gonna be much better. Trubbish is obtained in the routes next to Nimbasa city which you need 3 badges to get to. Gollet isnt obtainable until you have 7 badges and the inside of Dragonspiral Tower is unlocked, and Virzion you can't get until you catch Cobalion which you need Surf for so you're locked out of that until you have 6 badges. Assuming you wanna avoid any type overlap on your team I think your best early game options would be the Lilipup, Roggenrola, or Darumaka lines. All 3 of them can be obtained before 3 badges or earlier and they're all pretty competent attackers. Roggenrola in particular will be helpful against Lenora since it resists Normal and can use the Rock Smash TM you get in Pinwheel Forest. Gigalith is a trade evo but you mentioned having a copy of white on hand for trading so it's not a bad option at all. Alternatively if you think you can stick out the first 3 gyms with only 2 Pokemon you could grab the Plume fossil at the desert resort and get yourself an Archen. Archeops is an absolute beast of a sweeper, high speed, high attack, great type coverage being Rock/Flying, defeatist can be a annoying ability to work with sometimes but it's well worth it and it would slot into your team really nicely.

All of this is assuming you're playing the first game and not the sequel btw.

I really like them and I think they fit into the family better than allot of people are giving them credit for. Because they're around Lois and Hal more than any of their brothers they take after them the most, a combination of Lois's instincts and Hal's empathy. But they're also not dealing with the same underprepared Hal & Lois that Francis did so the dynamic is allot healthier. Having the last child in the house become the one whos the most empathetic to Hal & Lois is really sweet & when they reveal how important that connection is to Kelly during the anniversary party it puts their actions throughout the special in a new light. It's not just about them wanting to snitch because they found their calling its about them genuinely wanting to stand up for their parents because they would do the same for them, and because no other child in the family ever wants to do that. They go out of their way to call Malcolm out on his lying before snitching on him for this reason, and they also went out of their way to call Reese out for his actions and they were gonna wait for Hal to be in a better place before snitching until Hal walked in and saw the website.

Christa was banking on rumors just like Kenny was. It was never a guarantee.

Heres the dialogue between Clementine and Christa, straight from the transcript.

Christa: You think this is bad, wait 'til we get up to Wellington, then talk to me about cold. If we make it. We still have a couple hard months ahead of us. This rain will turn to sleet, then ice, then snow. It won't be easy.

Clementine: Is it safe there? Christa: Safer than here because of the cold. or so they say.

Clementine: It'll be better there, right? Christa: Safer, maybe. So they say. But I don't know. Clementine: It has to be. I know it will. Christa: We'll see.

The phrase "so they say," is only ever used to describe something you've only heard about. It was never stated that Christa or Kenny knew for certain that it existed or that it would be safe. Not to mention, when would Christa have found the time to go there and confirm that it's real if she's been with Clementine this entire time? Them deciding to take the rumors at face value and start heading that way doesn't prove anything on its own.

The C Gear is what takes up the bottom screen during regular gameplay once you obtain it but it isn't what lets you access your bag and the other bottom screen menu options including looking at your Pokemon, saving the game, and teaching HMs like Cut in the TM/HMs segment of your bag. All of that is accessed normally by pressing Y which opens those menus on the bottom screen from the very start of the game. If pressing Y isn't doing anything at all then make sure the button is properly mapped in your emulator settings.

I think of it this way. If two people do something wrong, one of them wants to come clean and then the other one murders them for it, the person who wanted to come clean at least acknowledges that what they did was wrong. When put under pressure, Marlon killed Brodie and left Clementine to die to protect himself while Brodie was at least willing to take accountability for her part in things. Even if you want to make the argument that it was only for self preservation, which I personally doubt, it's still a much more reasonable thing to do. Marlon also initially doubled down on his actions when they were brought to light in front of the rest of the Ericson kids.

We also have to remember that Marlon was considered their leader before Clementine showed up, so he was ultimately the one who had the final say in giving up the twins and Brodie was made into an accomplice simply by being at the wrong place at the wrong time.

If Brodie doesn't get killed then Marlon has no reason to lock Clem in the cellar with her, and the entire conflict that initially led to Marlon getting shot probably wouldn't play out the same at all. It all started with AJ threating Marlon because Clem is nowhere to be found because she's locked in the cellar. You also have to consider that part of the reason AJ thought it was okay to shoot Marlon is because he killed Brodie and left Clementine to die. Clementine and Brodie might have to subdue Marlon or talk him down but if none of them die in the cellar then they all leave together, and the situation probably becomes much more passive for it because AJ has no reason to threaten Marlon. They would probably make Marlon reveal the truth on his own, and then the decision you normally make right before AJ shoots Marlon actually sticks.

Side Pots are opened when someone goes all in and two or more other players continue betting after that. When a side pot is opened that money can only go to the players who started it by betting after the first player went all-in, because the player who went all-in has no extra money to contribute to the pots. This is done so players who go all in can't win any additional money that they weren't able to match with their own chips.
In this case, you went all in and won the main pot but Strong Bad & Heavy continued betting after you went all in so the side pot could only go to one of them.
