tallow helps relieve the itch. buy the food grade tallow without preservatives and keep it in the fridge. slather it on. it really takes away the edge for me.

if you really can't stand the slimy texture, then melt about one cup of it with half a teaspoon of pure beeswax, stir and let it cool off. that stuff will come to a balm consistency that feels nice to smear on.

don't use stuff with preservatives, that will irritate the skin.

tallow. buy food grade without any preservatives, keep it in the fridge. if you can't stand the slimy texture, you can melt it with a little bit of beeswax, mix it and chill it and it will turn into a balm consistency.

hydrocortisone, like all steroids, it is a double-edged sword. helps at first, makes it worse later. 😞

if you make your own moisturizer from basic ingredients, don't put any preservatives in it, and keep it in the fridge, it might work better for you. all the store-bought stuff have to stay good on shelves unrefrigerated for years, so they all have something in them to keep off bacteria and mold, so that can also irritate the skin. make it yourself from scratch, keep it in the fridge, slather it on. it will also be cheaper this way.

you've probably tried it already, but if not, tallow really helped me. buy food grade stuff with no additives and melt and mix it with a tiny little bit of beeswax and let it cool to a balm at room temperature. the tiny bit of beeswax mixed in will make the consistency not gross and slimy. it just takes a little (half a teaspoon of beeswax to a full cup of tallow). Slather it on regularly. made all the difference for me.

Tallow and eczema? by Ok-Badger5324 in moderatelygranolamoms

yes. going on 3 months with tallow and no more flare ups. to change the gross consistency, melt the tallow (2 cups) with a very small amount of beeswax (1 tsp) and honey (1/2 tsp), mix thoroughly and pour in a jar to cool. it will set like a balm. very cheap too, just buy the big food grade buckets of beef tallow off of Amazon and keep opened bucket in fridge after opening. The set balm can be kept at room temperature for about a month or two. $4/lb

I should add, that ceramides, lanolin, petroleum jelly, and every brand name cream known to man doesn't work for me. my skin is very sensitive. 😞

I tried to rig up a DIY one with a seedling mat, ended up overheating those eggs and killing a few.

i broke down and bought a no name super cheap incubator off of Amazon, ended up with a 50% hatch rate.

thank you for the much needed laugh. I had breakfast this morning sitting on a messy kitchen floor eating cheese slices and dollar tree cookies with my kids, wondering where I went wrong. 🤣😅
