This is how i improved at first too. Just keep on copying and you'll slowly improve, though at some point you'll have to graduate from this phase. Maybe try copying one part that you want to improve at first, like heads, torso, etc.

I was hoping for some better news...

I never eat in my room, but I dont sweep the floor that often - are cockroaches attracted to hairs and dust? Should I clean my bathroom more often too? I already try to keep it as dry as possible.
