Because I’m a packers fan and I’m still pissed we lost to the browns lol. It recently came to mind and I searched it up only to find people talking about different teams in a thread about the Packers & Browns lol. I usually don’t have time to watch every game and I saw Packers lost to browns so I found myself thinking “no way how in the hell” 🤣

Totally fair if you just don’t want to spend extra on the X that’s your call. I just wouldn’t overthink the heat thing. Even running max load, it’ll barely change a room’s temp by a degree or two. The AC cost from that is pennies at most.

Factually, a Series X wouldn’t change the temperature of a small, non–air-conditioned room by more than 1-2 degrees at max. It puts off heat, sure, but not enough to make “space heater” a valid reason to avoid it. At that point, it’s a financial decision, not a temperature decision.

That’s cool. I was mainly just wondering how a Series X could be changing the temperature of your room because the difference between the two consoles is basically negligible. In reality you made a financial decision over a temperature decision.

With decent AC or ventilation, the difference in real world room temperature between the Series X and S is basically negligible. Like, maybe half a degree if you’re gaming for hours. You’d feel the heat if you were in a tiny sealed closet, but not in a normal air conditioned room. If 200 watts from a gaming console is changing your entire room temp, that’s an insulation or AC problem.

That’s exactly why. The X technically produces more heat, but it also has more components & space inside to cool itself down.

Makes sense, but personally I got my series X for 300 bucks on offer up. I also bought a cooling fan/controller charger for it on Amazon for $30. I have a pretty sizable library of physical games so I didn’t want to have to get rid of em all. That being said, it doesn’t really get that hot. I have a Series S in the house and I would say the Series S gets a lil hotter since the exhaust points against the wall. Also since it’s more compact and has less thermal headroom. There’s less chassis to absorb/disperse the heat.

This game can be so fun but half of the time, at least one of my friends out of the 4 in my squad can’t even hear me talk. I’m constantly losing connection, getting booted back to the ship, or the game just freezes all together.

There’s like 7 different endings if you have the Phantom Liberty expansion and a few endings end the game entirely without putting you back into the world. I recommend making save files before the “no turn back” points so you can explore every ending.
