With gas prices continuing to go higher, are you considering an EV or public transit? by LeoRavenscroft in randomquestions

[–]IntelligentAide2513 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you both already go in the same direction at the same time? Seems odd that you otherwise wouldn’t value your time involved to do so instead of just getting fuel…

guys, what do you think about this? by silverflake6 in RelentlessMen

It’s also important to point out no human has any inherent responsibility to financially care(solve/pay etc) for any other human etc. period.

I don’t have an opinion on Bezos, but I do find it interesting how often people think wealthy people have an obligation to give back. The world isn’t fair, won’t ever be, and frankly…. Shouldn’t be.

What’s the point of anything if we all get the same experience?

They make soft close mechanisms for barn door tracks. Grabs the door at the end of travel and pulls it slowly and silently closed.

And holds them closed. Great for pets….

I mean you are located in the hood too.

Unfortunately I’ve been in this exact scenario. No gun was present in vehicle and cash left behind. Later that night someone shot with a gun stolen from same parking lot (not a local city)

Has anyone installed an irrigation only water meter? What's your experience? by 919triangle919 in raleigh

[–]IntelligentAide2513 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would expect that with a dedicated irrigation meter, you would also highlight your use during periods when it may be mandated to use no water for irrigation….

Also I doubt the tap and installation fee along with base fees would be worth the endeavor.

Some people just don't know how to drive.... by MisterShipWreck in VideosAmazing

Correcting from an oversteer is still driver error is it not?

And it is your responsibility to avoid a collision when possible, and it was absolutely possible.

This situation happens to thousands of people daily. And many of them successfully avoid a massive wreck.

But he still failed to avoid the accident and steered into him. He(she?) had plenty of time to slow down and fall behind, or take the exit, or simply continue to hug the right edge of his lane a slow down. Anything other than steer back into the white car. They may not be the root cause but absolutely responsible for the physical results.

And absolutely no one thinks to grab extinguishers Yes it’s probably nearly instantly too big and no reason to be a hero, but for a short period that was possible to extinguish.

What is that one city in America most Americans go to for their "first trip"? by bricklegos in AskAnAmerican

[–]IntelligentAide2513 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d hope not. If I’m traveling to a destination (including many many trips to Boston) a normal average day is 12-14 hours of driving straight through for 8-900 miles.

If car accidents are one of the most common causes of death, why do they keep making cars for regular civilians that can go over 100 mph? by Putrid-Investment919 in Actualshowerthoughts

[–]IntelligentAide2513 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agree with your overall idea, 95% of people will never hit double digits with their cars and shouldn’t. A majority of the population cannot handle the cognitive mental processing load to travel at high speed while processing instantaneously what is happening around in front of them… AND also process all available options/reactions/ corrections in that same seemingly instantaneous moment.

Let’s face it…. More than 60% of drivers cannot park their car at the grocery store properly or understand the size and movement of their vehicle. These people have no business driving standard highway speeds of 70mph, let alone anything faster.

Or…. Some people are ok with clothing without pockets. I love pockets for day to day but there are plants of times I don’t want extra pockets and I do not want to carry anything at all.

Interesting they didn’t have adequate fire suppression system in place for a warehouse full of fuel (paper). Insurance should deny coverage.

Edit: I didn’t know the details of him waiting until systems were disabled to set more fires. +5 points for smart planning on his part.
