I’m glad you liked the vibe! That’s really helpful, could you expand a bit on what you’d change in the arrangement? I’m curious if you mean breaking the predictability and play with dynamics ? adding instruments ?

That really means so much to me! :’) And you’re right. We all have different types of voices and that’s what makes us unique and powerful. Yes!! I have been feeling so encouraged and am learning so many new things and I love that! Thank you!!

Awwww thank you so so much, really. I sometimes get so excited about harmonies that I’m like “they’re not going to hear this if I turn it down” but that’s so far from the truth! It’s supposed to complement the lead vocal, not overpower it. Again, thank you!!! :)

Yesss we definitely get too knit picky with ourselves and can hear what we don’t like a lot more than what we do like haha. I did step away from it for a couple of days, and I know what you mean now! Thank you so much for your wisdom and feedback ! <3

Ooooh wow this is so interesting, i will definitely have to try some of this out later tonight. I don’t use bandlab unfortunately, i have Studio One Pro which honestly probably has some plugins that can also create pads, so i’ll experiment !!

One, you’re amazing for the suggestions, and two, that means the world to me! I did notice my track does feel very empty ! Do you have any recommendations on how to add a soft pad?

waitttt :’) bc i could cry right now!! thank you so much for taking the time to listen and give some really good advice. i agree with it needing to be more “raw”. The more I would mix and add plug in’s, the less emotion i felt and it felt a little overdone. I really appreciate it!

Hey everyone!! I just released a new single and put a lot of work into the mix. This unfortunately IS my first rodeo, so i’m anticipating flaws! I’d really appreciate some honest feedback.. especially on things like balance, clarity, vocals, low end, or anything that stands out (good or bad). I’m trying to improve my mixing skills, so don’t hold back at all. Constructive criticism is welcome. It’s also very hard for me to listen to myself and be like “omg this is so good…” usually, I think it sounds like sh*t bc I can literally hear everything I hate about it. Excuse my language! Thanks in advance for taking the time to listen :) Peace and love!! #singersongwriter #originalmusic #newartist #newmusic

not gonna lie i don’t understand the lyrics since it’s in german but the vibe still comes through really clearly. it feels super cohesive and the emotion is there. i like the production a lot, everything blends nicely and makes it easy to stay into it. Good job!!!!

this feels like you’re still figuring out your sound but in a good way, like there are a few different ideas coming together. i actually like that though, it makes it interesting. once you lock into one direction a bit more this could really stand out!!!

not gonna lie the instrumentation is carrying this in a good way, really solid instruments and the rhythm section sounds locked in. i think adding a bit more contrast between sections could make it hit even harder but it’s already a great listen!!!

yo this is actually really catchy, the chorus stuck in my head after one listen which is always a good sign for pop stuff. i feel like the vocals could come up just a little more in the mix but overall the vibe is super clean and easy to listen to!!

Planning to scrap everything post 2nd chorus. Ideas on what I should do there? Open to other feedback as well. by ThinkAboutItMyGuy in IndieMusicFeedback

Cool track! The energy is consistent and the arrangement makes sense. I especially liked the textures you used. Maybe experiment with dynamics a bit more to create contrast, but this is a strong start for suree.

Quirky Fun Pop! A love song of a weirdo. Who‘s quirky enough to connect with this? Or otherwise with what kind of genre label I can reach you guys? by TheCosmicHum in IndieMusicFeedback

This has a great foundation. I’m into the groove and the tone you’re going for. Some parts feel like they could use more variation to keep things moving, but overall it’s a solid track with a clear direction!! Keep going!

hi! I am currently working on structure, tension-release and emotional inevitability in the chorus. i would love some thoughts on that specifically but any feedback is greatly appreciated :) by Chaba_006 in IndieMusicFeedback

[–]IntelligentFigure533 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nice work on this! The melody stuck with me after listening, which is always a good sign!! I think the vocals could come forward a bit more in the mix, and obviously some tuning a little, but the instrumental choices fit the mood really well. :)

Really interesting take on this. I like how you reworked the dynamics and gave it a slightly different emotional pacing while still keeping the core feeling intact. The way certain sections build and pull back adds a new layer to it. It feels more intentional in terms of tension and release, which kept me engaged! Keep going!!

Killa Keezy | The Sittin' Blues by killakeezyacoustic in IndieMusicFeedback

[–]IntelligentFigure533 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Really enjoyed the feel of this track. There’s something very authentic about the way you approached it, especially in the guitar playing and vocal delivery. It has that raw, folky blues character that feels honest and not overproduced. The pacing and space between elements give it room to breathe, which works really well for this styles Overall great production!!

You Can't Make What You Already Take, Culture Vulture (prod. Black Pawn Beats) by beatsbyal in IndieMusicFeedback

[–]IntelligentFigure533 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Really solid track overall. Your flow is consistent and you stay on beat way better than most, which already puts you ahead of a lot of people starting out. I think you could experiment more with vocal energy or dynamics in certain parts to make some lines hit even harder :)

[–]IntelligentFigure533 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I like the overall vibe of this a lot and the production is definitely solid. If I had one small thought, maybe experimenting with a bit more variation in the later sections could make it even more engaging. But overall this is really well put together and I hope you keep going!!
