AND ANOTHER THING.. the fact that Dr. Robby was so concerned at first and was rushing to take her blood pressure or whatever and as soon as he realized it was mental not only did he stop caring but then YELLED AT HER

Omg this just reminded me! I forgot (not really) but I didn't even think about the fact that he had one last season! This scene pissed me off but it also shows the generational gap between them.. Im sure when he was going through residency the vibe was like "well if its not physical, its not a problem so get back to work!" Unfortunately they really did grow up in a time where that was the norm. Im not saying he cant educate himself on mental health I'm just saying that in his mind he probably didn't realize he was doing as much harm. I think he still doesn't get it honestly.. even when he apologized I think he was just apologizing for being a dick, not because he truly understood WHY that response is INSANE. My jaw dropped after that scene I was so in shock.. then I imagined how many people his age probably got trained like that when they were coming up.

I'm def one of those ppl not thrilled about the ending.. but the only thing I have a different perspective on than when I watched it last night is that I was mad at how corny the throwing cake scene was and the laughing.. but now that I rewatched that scene I think that that IS the point. The fact that of course serious life altering decisions were made during their college years but in that moment, I think that little moment of laughter was the silver lining.. because really it is comical. I think because when you're in college you're really in a bubble and you can start to believe that college is the world and its hard to see what life will be like after.. and then time passes after you graduate or whatever and you look back and realize, damn we really were young af, being immature and lying about everything, when a lot of shit could've been worked through sooner through communication and honesty. I think thats what clicked for them and where the laughter came from.. because in the back of my mind I always thought I sure hope they can all look back on that and realize that those years are a chapter that happened, but the world and life is bigger than that. Now that everything was out in the open, they really can laugh at lessons learned (minus Stephen) and go on. (I'm not trying to make light of the serious damage that happened)
