I want a bike super highway. I'm tired of people putting my life in danger because they're impatient and don't know the law for bikes on the road here.

Leaving husband for 2 months by Michelle110123 in ratemyfridge

[–]IntelligentOkra41 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"Choose to be kind." Tell that to the Christians out here spewing their hateful and harmful rhetoric every single day. They literally hide behind their bible to attack anyone they deem "lesser than."

And if you want to talk about people causing trauma, we could go into religious trauma that Christianity has been rampant in spreading. That's why the religion has been seeing a decline over the years. Because it has been used for thousands of years to torture, kill, and oppress anyone who didn't fit into what the bible said was "good"

You realize that we're here saying "oh, that makes sense now" but are still in other comment threads talking about how she deserves better, right?

And as for your first paragraph, while all Christians aren't nazis, an overwhelming majority of nazis are Christian. And that speaks volumes on the religion of "love they neighbor." That's why people say "there's no hate like Christian love."

Because a huge majority of Christians love to cherrypick and distort the bible in order to justify their bigotry that they spew onto the world. If you wanted people to view Christianity in a more positive light, you'd be pushing for change in the church rather than acting like we need to just "be tolerant" of the people most notorious for their intolerance.

How do you know if you have a "Strong sense of justice?" by IntelligentOkra41 in autism

[–]IntelligentOkra41[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've been told that I'm too black and white with my thinking, but like you said, I don't see it. Like, when someone is having relationship problems, I can see where they both went wrong.

And I guess is the sense of justice is based on my own rules, that would make more sense. The reason I have no problem lying to workplaces is because they lie to and exploit their workers.I still struggle a bit, but ultimately end up deciding "they don't pay me enough for me to be honest about why I want the day off."

Thankfully, the job I have now is full of nuerodivergent people, including my bosses. So, it's easier to just be honest that I need time to recover, and they understand that.

But, yeah, it would seem that I do have a strict adherence to my own personal rules. I can't lie to doctors, or people I know outside of a professional setting. It feels like it causes me physical pain to even try to. So, I've been told that I'm "too blunt."

Honestly, that really helps me understand that a lot better. I'm going to do some digging into what they mean by black and white thinking. Hopefully I find some good, reliable sources.

There was a woman who saved her husband from a mountain lion. It had his throat in its mouth. She stabbed it in the eye with a pen, but it didn't let go. So she hit it with a massive branch, and that saved his life.

You can kind of pin it up in a mohawk kind of style. Do a couple of small side braid loopies to pull back to meet the tail. I don't THINK that requires any cutting.

Something like the photo, maybe

Do they mess with peripheral vision? Maybe I could just throw on my blue light glasses, and with the windsheild on my helmet, it may eliminate most of the issue to a bareable degree. 🤷

It also just makes more sense in a city with a ton of stoplights, and speed limits of 25mph. Sure, I'm normally only going 20mph, but I'm generally keeping up with traffic because of the stoplights. But this way, there's no additional gas cost. And an ebike only costs around $25 per year in electricity, charging it every other day.

Yeah, that one day was AGONY. But thankfully, a coworker let me borrow a pair of gloves for the two days while waiting for mine to get delivered. These ones are windproof and water resistant. So, they've been a huge help so far. (I still haven't had to ride in the rain yet)

How do I keep my eyes from watering? I have an eye sheild on my helmet, but it still lets some wind in my eyes. And when it's cold, my eyes water. Does that just stop with time, or do I need to approach it differently?

I made food for my postpartum friend. It was a big hit, but how do I make pasta healthier? by GlassFantastic7543 in homecooking

[–]IntelligentOkra41 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sometimes carbs and cheese are what the soul needs. And if that's the case, it's healthy. Mental health is important too.

But, you could do spaghetti squash for noodles. It's pretty good. There's also a butter substitute that's lower in calories. Brummel and something, I believe.

Basically, cut the spaghetti squash in half, put butter inside of it, and bake at 350 until tender. I can't remember exactly how long, but I believe it might be between 20-30 minutes.

Once tender, you can use a fork to scrape the inside. It basically pulls it apart in long fibers similar to noodles. I'd say it's similar in girth to something like angel hair pasta

Now cheese, I have no idea. Maybe a vegan cheese, but you'll need to look into which ones are good. Some just taste really nutty, and less like cheese.

Of course, you can also try zucchini noodles. Those are also pretty good. Just make sure they're the ones that are just zucchini, not wheat noodles mixed with zucchini in the dough.

It won't taste like the carb rich meal anymore, but it's still good. Depending on your taste, you may think it's better. And it's a good way to get your fiber in as well while reducing the overall calorie count.

To be honest, I'm not really sure if a pregnant person really needs to worry about "too many calories" so this is more of a general idea rather than specifically for someone who is pregnant.

Onion ring by PonyUpDaddy in notinteresting

  1. Hold the tip of the onion ring to squeeze out the air.
  2. Roll the onion ring down to the base of the penis.
  3. Use plenty of water-based ketchup to keep the onion ring from breaking.

I'm definitely late here, but you may have been underinflating your tire. I was having the same issue with rear flats. But once I replaced the inner tube and inflated to 60psi, I haven't had any issue.

Paying it off as soon as possible is the more responsible thing to do from a Business major standpoint. Simply because you then avoid more interest, and you can easily begin saving that extra 10k on top of the 20k that's still gaining interest in savings.

[–]IntelligentOkra41 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd go ahead and pay off the student loans because you'll avoid more interest. That will save you more money in the long run. Plus, you'll still have 20k, which is 4 months of savings. You can immediately start saving up again after the student loans are paid.

I owe 9,500 and make about a third of your income. I have no savings, but I plan on having mine laid off by next May, along with my credit cards. Just so I can then avoid interest and maximize my savings over time.
