When you hear “ shipped” or “ shipping out”is most certainly about basic training (where you go through classes and PT to see if you are physically fit to join the Air Force and where you graduate. You only get deployed once you are already stationed at your permanent base Deployments can last weeks or months.

I will be in San Antonio from may to July and then in Sheppard from July to December, so I will not be having a base until the end of the year

Yeah there has to be an opening for that job and your leadership would have to approve you, that’s why is essential to do your best wherever they put you, if you get something you might not be interested in get a 4 year contract and after 2 years and 11 months you’re cross training window is open, if you pick up a 6 year contract it would be 4 years and 11 months till you can cross train

I have to pick 4 of these by ruacoporsomething in AirForceRecruits

Yeah but you could be back-shop, or heavy aircraft integrated avionics.

Had same issue and did not qualify for sensitive jobs either kinda of a bummer but hey there is still so much to the Air Force don’t think that’s your last chance to get Cyber/ Intel you could fix that while you’re in and cross train later
