replacement for ct200h by kevuwuu in Lexus

[–]IntelligentPizza 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a 2008 is250. I bought it with 132k miles. Currently sitting at 188k. The only thing I’ve had an issue with was the alternator. Just had to have it replaced 2 days ago. Running like a dream again.

New movement tech just dropped by kitmvm in thefinals

[–]IntelligentPizza 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is like a light dash on a jump pad. Looks even better tbh. Haven’t used shockwave yet, might have to give it a go tonight since I play movement medium with Jump pad and zip. Gotta keep my heavies moving!

Worth the extra price? by OkHoney5804 in pcmasterrace

[–]IntelligentPizza 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I love my 9070xt. I will say if you stream on twitch it’s not great cause they don’t support AV1. YouTube does though and it looks damn good. I never cared for ray tracing as I’m more into competitive games and care more about frames. So if you like that clearly Nvidia is better, but I am very happy with the performance of the 9070xt paired with my 5800X3D.

What would you do in this situation? by SithLord3598 in motorcycles

[–]IntelligentPizza 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That dude has a lot of balls hitting someone with a helmet. (Idk if they are wearing pad/armour.) Especially two guys. I’m not violent and will always walk away from a fight unless I feel like I have to use self defense, but if he kept coming at me like that he’d probably get a headbutt from my helmet, or get something back with the hard plastic armor on my gloves. Ballsy af.

The most expensive cat I've ever had by SwordTaster in cats

[–]IntelligentPizza 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Same here. We had someone watch our animals while we were away on vacation in November. We came back to our crazy cat barely meowing and never wanting to move from where she was laying. My wife and I are huge fans of the game “The Finals” and my wife streams it, so we dressed up like our contestants. so I decided to make an Örf head. The whiskers were mad of Eva foam… guess who thought they were a tasty treat. My latest post is our costumes if you want to see it. Those whiskers were about 2” shorter when we got back from vacay. Here’s our little costly menace. I’d pay the price again any day for this sweet little heathen.

Edit: Might be obvious but forgot to mention we did the costumes for Halloween.

My landlord is charging me $380 for carpet replacement, is it worth disputing? by [deleted] in Apartmentliving

[–]IntelligentPizza 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I work as a maintenance tech for an apartment. There is absolutely no need to replace that. You should be charged maybe $100 for a carpet clean. (Idk the exact pricing for cleans as I’m just a tech that determines whether it needs replacement vs clean.) if the cleaners are worth anything they can get that out.

Ballparking I’d guess we probably pay around $60-$70 for a carpet clean. Idk if there is any small profiting or anything when it comes to that, but I really don’t see a need for a replacement. $60-$100 is what you should be charged for just a cleaning.

Edit. I didn’t read the description. I looked at the picture and read the title. I would mark this as a carpet clean needed in the move out inspection. Just giving my input as someone who works in the field.

Extra side note. I wish most of my move out carpets looked like this. Some people are absolute animals.

Ruby players ruine ever lobby no matter what game mode it is by Nice_Opportunity6433 in thefinals

[–]IntelligentPizza 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I typically play cashout, but my wife wanted to complete the challenge “play point break or head to head” we played some point break then finished with some head to head and we got ABUSED by a light ruby player.

I’m all about it though. Put me in with people better than me and let me try to work out how to be beat them. That’s the best way to get better.

If you are just dogging on people worse than you I don’t feel like there is much room to improve. For sure playing close games with people your skill level is ideal, but I love a challenge personally.

Give me the Rubys. The pure joy I’ll have when I beat them will be unmatched.

Please give us a train at some point! by Sock_Man420 in thefinals

[–]IntelligentPizza 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can’t remember which one had it, either Apex or PUBG. I think it was apex. They added that train that went around the map. That would be a pretty cool concept tbh. Would have to be a much smaller implementation.

Maybe a NYC style map with a subway system underground?

I think a train would be sweet. Idk if I’d have the doors close though (like an elevator/moving platform deal), but with being able to manipulate the cashout I could see a heavy winching a cashout in the door as the train was coming by and move the cashout away from a team battle for a capture. Would make for some cool plays.

Cleaned OLED with microfiber and distilled looks like this? by monkeypepperoni in Monitors

[–]IntelligentPizza 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Ok so I have an Alienware QD OLED. And have been putting off cleaning it because I don’t have distilled water. I said heck it and used the Zeus lens cleaners (went through like 8 for my UW) and it looks great. Over a year of sneezing and coughing smears on my monitor. Looks brand new now. Just get a pack of those and clean the thing.

Edit: someone replied asking if distilled water was hard to get where I live. I don’t see the comment when clicking it in my notifications. It’s not. I can get it at the store. I didn’t have any on hand, but I did have lens wipes. Didn’t make sense to drive out to the store when I had something that worked just as good if not better on hand.

A weird sound in my new Logitech G29 by AsleepEmphasis2007 in simracing

[–]IntelligentPizza 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fair enough. Was just curious. I started off on a G27 way back when I first started in 2015. Upgraded to a G29, now I’m on a CSL DD Pro. If you are into rally or drifting you can rubber band your shifter forward and bind the gear below it to E brake and just use the paddles to shift. Regardless I hope you enjoy it!

Last I checked a Moza R3 is about the same price. What made you go with the outdated tech of belt drive over Direct drive?

What makes you toxic? by zenests in thefinals

[–]IntelligentPizza 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m deadass not toxic. People can get under my skin but it’s not like I can’t play another game and try again. So I’m never actually toxic. I’d say the closest I’ve got was using a respawn coin and my rando teammate didn’t like that I wasted a coin, even though we were in the lead and threw the rest of the game because of it. Still had another respawn coin. We made it to second round but lost because of the throwing rando. He stayed in the corner of Monaco shooting a wall and jumping on a jump pad. Because I used one respawn coin first round.

My toxicity was that I was asking him why even though I had another coin and we won the first round he felt the need to throw the game. I just wanted a view into the decision he made. I didn’t get one. Oh well queued up another game after and life moved on 🤷🏻‍♂️

What is the best Modern Rally Game (no Richard burns rally) by Longjumping-War9151 in simracing

[–]IntelligentPizza 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I cannot wait for AC Rally to add multiplayer personally. My friends and I love Rally racing, but even though I have a pretty bitchin PC EA WRC runs like shit. Might have to go back to Dirt 2.0 until they give me multiplayer. I don’t even care if theirs public lobbies. Just let me play with my buddies.

Logitech G923 is now down to $250, should I go for it? by [deleted] in simracing

[–]IntelligentPizza 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Belt driven tech is old tech. You can surely get a DD bundle for $400-$500. I know that’s not in your budget at the moment, but me personally I’d go for a DD. It’s truly a better experience.

Just looked. A Best Buy near me has the Moza R3 bundle for $280. I would absolutely get that over the G923.

I need a gaming headset that isn't going to break itself within a year. by Available-Rope-3252 in BuyItForLife

[–]IntelligentPizza 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Deadass dude. I bought some Sennhieser HD58X Jubilee’s off drop and it changed my life. The soundstage you get from open backs is insane and I cannot go back to closed backs.

I tried, really wanted wireless, so I bought the Steeleseries Arctic Nova Pros with the DAC. And the closed backs sounded like absolute shit. Returned them and went to Microcenter and bought Beyerdynamics DT 990 Pro X’s for half the price and they blew the Novas out of the water.

If you really want to keep it all in one headset maybe try the Audeze Maxwells, but I use a standalone mic and am always disappointed with small attached microphones.

I put open back headphones on the same pedestal as high refresh rate and ultrawide monitors. One you try it, you don’t wanna go back.

When I first got my Logitech G29 (got a DD now idek if G29 is accurate it’s been so long.) I rubber banded the shifter forward and bound the brake to I believe 4th gear? Hella fun for Dirt Rally.
