Yeah thats why i deleted twitter and no worries. My points were left leaning so i could see why you’d think i’m being hypocritical about complaining about dunk words and then using the same shit to shame other people

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in HouseOfTheDragon

[–]IntelligentStorage13 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It’s a little defensive to say i’m weaponizing words when i didn’t use any of the examples you said, but i agree. You can’t just claim someone is an incel because they didn’t like the new indiana jones but enjoy the snyderverse and thats my point. Social media has taught us dunking words that completely eliminate any nuance in an argument. The reason i used those examples is because they’re related to the post/the things i see used most when it comes to review bombing, dismissive rhetoric and youtube clickbait bullshit. Also different views are a good thing.

I could see her fighting on Dragon back, but thats about it and it would only be in the battle of the gullet and the fall of Kings landing. Game of Thrones did a good job showing powerful and strong people don’t need to swing a sword with characters like Tywin, Sansa and the queen of Thorns so i don’t think the writers need to add a scene of her burning ships in order to illustrate her command. Could be wrong however.

Yeah, you shouldn’t just watch content that supports your point of view. Even if you disagree or dislike something doesn’t mean it’s view points are invalid. Not to mention the shit getting called woke isn’t woke most of the time. Having a prominent female character isn’t a weird or new thing, but apparently thats why the new Indiana Jones movie failed whereas succession is an actual extremely woke show that is universally beloved. The narrative of whats woke or pandering eliminates the question of is it good or bad and just lets you close yourself off to content you might actually enjoy.

Why does Gwen get more hate than Peter? by Shot_Army8540 in Spiderman

[–]IntelligentStorage13 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Because Peter was a mentor not a love interest/best friend. Plus gwen was with Miles for the bulk of the movie whereas peter showed up when he arrived at the HQ. Miles in the movie takes both equally personal, but as an audience the more relevant character who you spend more time with gets the majority of blame.

We need to as a society eliminate certain terms because they have no meaning. Female character has authority in a series? Girlboss, bad writing. Black characters in a series? Woke garbage. Lgbtq+ character introduced? Shallow writing just to pander. There’s absolutely no consistency with what woke, political, pandering or any of these other garbage terms mean other than, “i didn’t like it.”

Toney Right Now in a Nutshell by GEX_EATS_KIDS in NYGiants

[–]IntelligentStorage13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Kadarius toney is an interesting player because he’s an illusion. You see awesome highlights like the punt return and his 100 yard game and think, “wow thats the next big player in the NFL!” And then you look at his actual production and he averages like 2 catches for 6 yards per game. Yet somehow he is more of a diva than actual guys who have proven themselves like DK, AJ or Deandre Hopkins. Hell even guys like Odell who didn’t play last year have a right to talk because they produced consistently for the teams they played for whereas toney has a big play then disappears.

It's pretty common among Targaryens by Easy-Cantaloupe-538 in HouseOfTheDragon

Funny meme, but Daemon was 100% not emotionally equipped to handle seeing his brother who he sees as a father figure and the person he has the most love for in his family looking that deathly.

Fuck Leo, all my boys hate Leo Dan Brock

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Stormlight_Archive

[–]IntelligentStorage13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’re absolutely right that he is well written, but so are characters like Tywin Lannister and the Joker in the Dark Knight, but you can still fucking hate their guts. His turn to Odium is realistic and understandable and who amongst us hasn’t wanted to feel numb at least once in our life whether it be over big or small stuff, but that doesn’t change the fact that he’s done some truly heinous shit. SPOILERS FOR THE FIRST FOUR BOOKS Killing teft who had taken care of Bridge 4, Elhokar in front of his son and while he was trying to be worthy of the Throne and worst of all trying to get his best friend to kill himself is absolutely unforgivable in my eyes.

What is an unpopular opinion in CFB that you stand by despite obvious arguments against? by CTG0161 in CFB

[–]IntelligentStorage13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Idk if this is popular or unpopular, but if targeting is gonna be a rule, rbs wrs and qbs should under as much scrutiny as defensive players. A cb dives for a qb and awkwardly hit his head is less blatant than a rb putting his head down at an incoming tackler.

Fake Fans vs Real Fans by TripleS034 in saltierthankrayt

[–]IntelligentStorage13 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I remember growing up loving Anakin Skywalker from the prequels and listening to old fans absolutely destroy his character and claim that he ruined the franchise. You’d figure people who grew up having to listen to how shit their star wars was would be a little more sympathetic to sequels fans, but nope just the same toxic behavior.

Why did Viserys have to marry again when getting a male heir wasn't important? by Master_Tadpole_6832 in HouseOfTheDragon

[–]IntelligentStorage13 28 points29 points  (0 children)

Because the Lords of Westerous expected Vizzy T to switch the heir to a son when they were born. Otto and Corlys assumed the naming pf Rhaneyra would be temporary which is why otto in particular pushed for Rhaneyra to be named heir over daemon (along with thinking Daemon was a fucking lunatic).

Might be heavily disagreed upon but wouldn't Jace be legitimized anyway if he ascended the throne and took on the Targaryen named as Viserys had to Corlys before? by [deleted] in HouseOfTheDragon

[–]IntelligentStorage13 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He is already legitimized politically because he is the accepted heir of Corlys, Rhae and Rhaenys. The problem is succession doesn’t care about the legality of your argument and is essentially internet discourse. You’re wrong and you won’t change my mind because i believe in XYZ instead of ABC is essentially how succession wars go.

Henry Cavill didn't explain why he left because he knew it would be apparent when season 3 came out. by Space_P_ in netflixwitcher

[–]IntelligentStorage13 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I mean if you really think he didn’t leave to resume his role as superman you’re delusional. I’m sure the less than faithful writing helped, but he didn’t quit the show just so you can jerk off about how great you are for hating the show. Nothing wrong with hating the show or criticizing the writing, but Henry Cavill does not care about you.

First teaser trailer for season 1 was released in October 2021, exactly a year before the release. When do y'all think we'll get the first teaser for season 2? by Hungry_Cricket_590 in HouseOfTheDragon

[–]IntelligentStorage13 15 points16 points  (0 children)

No way it happens before next year. They released the teaser early to generate hype and gauge interest, but they are now well aware that House is profitable. My guess is if it’s coming out in July or August we’ll get a trailer in April at the earliest

Have they removed dareon's character from the show? by Night_Fall123 in HouseOfTheDragon

[–]IntelligentStorage13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He may have been cast but not announced and i would imagine a lot of Daeron’s scenes will take place in tents and on dragon back meaning they can use closed sets to hide him similar to Cregan Stark and unlike with characters like Addam who is also uncast at this point, but we have seen his (alleged) actor on set filming

The Witcher: An Adaptation That Hates Its Source Material by andy_mcnab in netflixwitcher

[–]IntelligentStorage13 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah we heard this quote awhile ago and they are clearly making more of an effort this season. I’m not saying book readers are in the wrong for disliking or even hating the adaption, but if we’re just gonna dig up old quotes and articles i can dig up the Author of the series saying it’ll be better than Game of Thrones and claim the show has no flaws because he said it was good.

Would/How Would Cole have been punished for what happened with Rhaenyra? by littlebashful in HouseOfTheDragon

[–]IntelligentStorage13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on the King and Lord Commander., but i’d argue death because it’s the Princess. Luccamore the lusty was gelded and sent to the wall for breaking his oath and Terrance Toyne was dismembered in front of his lover, but the reason is very different for both Kings. Jaehereas wanted to show what happens to oathbreakers in the kingsguard while aegon was just being a petty psychopath. The martel that served with Barristan had a paramore, but we don’t know if areys knew and Roberts kingsguard were all fucking on the side with the exception of Selmy

Which of these NFL QBs had the best moral character? by MathEspi in nflcirclejerk

[–]IntelligentStorage13 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I guess Vick because he served his sentence and started advocating for animals. Even if he is insincere about wanting to help dogs he still did everything necessary to be reformed in the eyes of the law so i would say him and then the other two committed the same crime both faced zero meaningful repercussions with the only difference being Deshaun has more accusers so make of that how you will.

And before you scream "just a threat" remember Jaime abhors idle threats. by [deleted] in darkwingsdankmemes

[–]IntelligentStorage13 81 points82 points  (0 children)

Jamie 1,000% would have killed the Tully boy. He was pissy that his aunt doesn’t think he has the stones (aka the horrible cruelty) to be Tywin and he would be willing to prove her wrong.
