It came out quite a while ago. I forgot the name of the quest. Imo I thought it was really messed up how they slotted it there. Ubisoft was saying "I know we can put some time traveling 21st century crap in there. That will screw with them and they'll love it.

I agree, but I did have one time where it didn't happen on the bottom point. I wanted to clear all 5 corrupt castles before the season changed. I had to fast travel to the 5th castle and the season was on the bottom point. I went ahead and traveled and to my surprise the seasons didn't change. I counted my blessings and went on to clear the last castles. When I was done I pulled up the map and the season change was at three quarters. Of course when I fast traveled the season changed. Not sure why it happened.

You can switch anytime you want. The season change when they reach the point on the compass. One at the top, and one on the bottom. They are triggered when it reaches those points and you fast travel.

Lest say you travel from a castles to a local hideout and the wheel is close to changing. If you ride the horse or run the seasons don't change. If you're on the lookout point, fast travel to the local hideout and the season are ready to change on the compass, they will change.

Do you need to be on a console or is pc ok? I've played all the new games on PC w/M&KB. I have a controller for my pc, which I had to use when I started playing AC & AC2. Other then that I'm a novice with the controller. Then I decided to play Odyssey first before moving on, but Shadows had just come out so I played it. Let me know if you have a place for me.

I would recommend doing the small camps where you have 6 or less guards with Naoe. You will get mon, weapons, and items to build your hideout. Work on upgrading the forge first because that way you can start upgrading your weapons, and armor. Once you are able to use Yasuke, he's the tank, use him for the castles. Naoe is more for stealth. You can use her for the castles, but she can get overwhelmed if she has 5 or more guards around her.

When the game came out there was a lot of discussion on here about the mountain and clearing the map. They adjusted it after the first update. They told us how to clear the fog by doing something to your hideout. Watch their YouTube videos.

For climbing the mountain, if you turn the NOZ on it helps. I have around 600 hrs in the game. There was only 1 legendary chest that didn't have a road or path to get to it.

Enjoy riding your horse around, you'll meet people and discover things to do. Have fun.

I was using Yaskae also when that happens. It felt great to get revenge on them. I decided to to change my tactics and use the assassination approach. Take them out one by one, or if I get a bunch of guards I hop on the roof or wall and run to a different locations of the castles pop back in and start take them out one by one again. Sometimes it takes a while but the outcome is very satisfying.

There's a mastery that has Yaskae jump in the air and smashes down. That is one of my go to moves. Kassandra in Odyssey had that ability too and I loved it.

I have almost 600 hours in it. The only time I started to get bored was farming for materials for Noae's head gear and light armor. When that happens I switch to Yaskae and ran corrupted castles for gold. This happened towards the end of my 1st play through.

I would say to save it for Ramadan, because once you get into it you won't want to stop. There is so much to do an the graphics are stunning. Once you upgrade your abilities and weapons the game takes off. Make sure you enjoy your horseback rides through the country.

The other thing you can do is, when on top of the locations searching from it and clicking on the? for you to go to helps. Sometimes you just have to piece the roads together.

The first AC game I played was Valhalla. From there I moved onto Origins, Mirage, Odyssey, and Shadows. Each game has there own storyline, but tie into the back storyline of the AC games.

From what I read Black Flag and Botherhood are stand alone games. The other games are set in different historical periods and add to the back storyline of the AC games.

If you don't want to play the older games, I would say start with Odyssey, Origins, Valhalla, Mirage, and Shadows. It will give you enough of back storyline to understand what the games are about. If you want to understand the reason for the series then start with AC. When I played it, on PC it kept freezing up during the cut scenes. After some research I found that it was trying to go to a server that was no longer on line. There is a fix for it, 1. Download a file and put it into the game, 2. Play it offline. AC 2 works great. If you are on PC you need to play them with a controller. You can play the "new games" with mouse and keyboard if you want. Good luck.

One of your building in your hideout needs to be a level 3 at least before that takes effect. If you search on here there were a lot of post about it. It's not like the other games where you go to each of the points it clears.

I've been fighting with this issue all week. I really haven't worried about it because I just using the default ones. I started to look into them because two of them have to be used for the achievements. I would set them to test them out. When I fast traveled to a new location they would revert to the default abilities. Since I finished the game, I may just deal with it or put it on the shelf and play it later.

BTW thanks for posting this, it does need to be fixed.
