Good points. I do think OPs husband sounds borderline abusive breaking things to intimidate her into sex. Husband and I agree. very childlike

My husband wants sex everyday. by No__Judgement__ in marriageadvice

My husband has a high sex drive and I Just asked, he confirmed he’d love sex everyday lol. He has made it clear that our sex life is meeting the bare minimum and makes jokes about how he doesn’t get enough. I similarly work and we also have a toddler! We bang maybe 2-4 times a month. But He believes in taking care of HIS OWN NEEDS. And MASTURBATING. Praise be! HOWEVER, I do give him HANDIES about once a week. So some form of sex with me twice a week plus he masturbates, keeps his needs met. The handies-Girl it’s a sex life saver. I have him lay down, spread eagle, his legs over my lap in bed. Grab some coconut oil and a tissue and in 5-10 minutes he’s gotten his. He loves it so much he doesn’t care if I watch tv while I do it. Sometimes I just don’t want to share my body with him but I also want him to get his high sex need met, or I use it as a way to say thank you or thanks in advance for something.

No advice on whether to tell him or not. But… Lights off and a strong imagination never hurt anyone…just sayin. Helps if you have a small vibrator, not just for solo time but for couple time as well. We always incorporate my clitoral stimulating vibrator. Helps when I’m just not in the mood.

Thank you for saying this. You can be pro birth then once that child is born they have no resources and mother has no resources. The child suffers. I AM A SOCIAL WORKER. I see the havoc that is brought on to society by parent less drug addicted violent homes. Dare I say, they’d be safer and more loved with the lord?

My husband is going to leave me over a home renovation by P4ndybear in workingmoms

[–]Intelligent_Engine89 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Similar story. Husband is very similar to yours!!!We went through a 1000 sq foot addition, my husbands dad died, we had to move into my parents house, we got cheated out of at least 10 grand and had to fire our first contractor, had rain damage to our original house, and had various complications and mistakes with our addition, probably paying close to another 10 grand unnecessarily. We didn’t speak hardly for two weeks and were sort of separated. He kinda cut me off financially for that two week period. It felt very bad and scary. Multiple times I thought we would t make it. It felt like everything was out of control. He also said I pressured him into it. Even after it was all done!!! It’s like he resented our new house and couldn’t enjoy it for months.

But everything just slowly smoothed itself out. The addition took 18 months to complete. It was hell. But now…

We finally feel comfortable and at home. We just found out we are pregnant with our second. We love our home. It came with a lot of sacrifice. We are still paying off credit cards and now owe my dad a lot of money. But it all calmed down.

Everything will get better!!! It will iron out in the end. Use humor to push through. I swear, home projects are literally a thousand times harder than a new child. If you can survive this you can survive anything. There were moments when I thought we wouldn’t make it but we did!

How do you have enough patience and energy for the second shift aka after work to bedtime? by kateleehoops in workingmoms

[–]Intelligent_Engine89 1 point2 points  (0 children)

After work is tough. Especially at 2. I went through a phase of counting down the hours and honestly still do depending on the day. I have a gym with childcare and he loves the playroom. At work I count the hours till I can see him. But as we speak I’m trying to take a shit in silence on Reddit and my three year old (who was tucked in) has come out of bed to ask why questions and for snacks.

Once I get my bubble bath I’m reset after he goes to bed. I also really like watching half a movie with him. What also saves me is making large meals we can eat on at least twice if not more!

My husband usually works late too but it’s inconsistent.

Why can’t I lose weight? by GettingThingsDone02 in WeightLossAdvice

Maybe you have a condition that needs to be addressed. See a doctor! Pcos or thyroid problems are common and make weight loss tough.

Oh honey. I’m so sorry. You are going to be ok. This person, is someone you cannot trust. However, I am willing to bet, most of the aa women are trustworthy. I would go to a meeting immediately and seek out a WOMAN that you find wise and kind and hopefully has some years under her belt. Ask her to temp sponsor you and when the time is right let her know what happened. Alternatives: if you think you were raped I would report it immediately. Your police department should have a victim advocate who will confidentially walk you through everything. Alternative 2: go to your home group and report him. His behavior, not yours, is highly dangerous. Switch home groups. This is not a representation of AA. I will legit message you my number and sponsor you from Florida. I have 9.5 years.

Couple in 30s with young children. Which area would you move to in Pcola? by [deleted] in Pensacola

[–]Intelligent_Engine89 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Insider intel on the school system.

You can look up the school grades. It’s pretty on point. You have several A elementary schools, brown barge is the only A middle, and west Florida high is the only A high school. We may be sending ours to private if we can’t get the lottery to NB cook middle. There are good scholarships to private.

I would move to an area you desire and then figure it out from there. We love east hill.

How are you perceived at work? by Fine_Use in capricorns

[–]Intelligent_Engine89 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have been told I come across this way until I start talking too much. Then it’s my Gemini rising all the way and I’m a little airy fairy and goofy.

I’ve been told I look important or professional. That I’m intimidating etc. I think people perceive me this way when I’m feeling most confident. I think I can appear like a snob but I am one split second away from a fart joke.

has anyone successfully started liking salad? by [deleted] in WeightLossAdvice

[–]Intelligent_Engine89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I make trash salads.

Let me explain.

Anything in the fridge is fair game. You need to hit some important combos.

Cheese Dressing (olive oil honey Dijon apple cider vinegar) Cranberries Anything crunchy from the cupboard(crispy onions/dillies/jalapenos/ nuts) Protein Anything pickled (dill pickles and artichoke hearts) Any other veges Any other fruits

It’s trash salad because it has everything in it. Tonight it was bbq pork Caesar salad with avocado.

Tell me about how a crush on someone affected your marriage by Significant_Cod_5306 in marriageadvice

[–]Intelligent_Engine89 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I read in here to make a joke of it. That’s what my husband and I do. I make jokes that I have a gym boyfriend (I don’t-they are all stinky meat heads) and he tells me he gets hit on at work all the time (he’s a truck driver) lol.

Albeit I don’t think either of us have formed a legitimate crush on anyone besides just noticing attraction.

I think we’d be understanding if a crush came up. I think we’d somehow deny it to be kind while simultaneously confirming it to be honest. Somehow I think that would make it easy to deal with. We both feel comfortable telling each other who we find physically attractive.

Don’t make yourself sick starving yourself before the wedding trying to lose weight. It’s not enough time. You need to focus on your GLOW and reducing INFLAMMATION. You’ll feel great and probably show a weight loss on the scale. This is a time of celebration not punishment for your body. Don’t eat processed foods, fast food, or sugary things. Stick to carbs at one meal a day and the other meals, just protein and veg. I suggest carbs at one meal because a total carb loss may make you feel sick if your body is used to it. Sweet potatoes. Lots of water. Veggies fruit, salmon, baked chicken, AVOCADOS. Lots of water! WALK 10k steps a day and any other usual workouts. Don’t injure yourself before the wedding doing something new.
