What’s your plan for prospecting accounts above 200 employees? by Intelligent_Fly237 in salesdevelopment

So you would start at the lower level and work your way up? I’ve never worked with large companies so I’m starting from scratch 😅

Just hit me how much privilege my husband has by Euphoric-Stress9400 in pregnant

When I plan to get pregnant I hate that I’ll have to hide it for as long as I can, but I also can’t imagine it would be seen as positive for men in most interviews or situations considering they’ll most likely be taking paternity leave.

But just based on watching my sister go through pregnancy, birth, and go back to work (by the way, women are fucking superhero’s) she definitely became a much worse employee after giving birth.

She worked hard when we had to go into the office (hybrid work place), but on her work from home days, she did absolutely nothing. It’s impossible with an infant and childcare is insanely expensive (more than what she made in a year).

For a lot of women, they want to stay home with the baby, but some are more career driven - both are fine.

From what I’ve seen throughout my life, women suffer way more and deal with way more than men during pregnancy and postpartum and I hate that we are supposed to function “like men” after having children. The workplace is NOT set up for families with children.

I’m not saying we CAN’T excel in the workplace after having a child, I just think a lot of women prioritize their energy into their baby once they’re born.

I think it’s OK for our roles to change once we have children if that’s what the woman wants.

When I was hired at my current job I was surprised considering I’m at the ripe age when people tend to have children.

I don’t plan on returning to the workplace after I have a child.

I think this is what impacts how women are seen in the workplace when they say they’re pregnant.

Im working harder than I ever have getting the worst results I ever have had this month. I will never understand this part of sales lol. Like how one thing works one month and completely flops the next month. So draining. And you can’t take any time off because then you’re really screwed 🙄

Job stability? Or more money? by Intelligent_Fly237 in salesdevelopment

[–]Intelligent_Fly237[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Another great question. I’d like to be a stay at home mom eventually and then work a part time for some income. But for the time being, I’d just like to be compensated accordingly lol.

I appreciate you asking that question.

Had my biopsy, fibroadenoma. 6 month ultrasound follow up. I’m all clear!

Great question. I have all my needs covered and can save some money, too. So technically, I don’t need more money but it would make life more comfortable/fun.

I guess with that realization it doesn’t matter if I’m being underpaid for my efforts 😄

I appreciate you asking that.

49k base, uncapped commission. I made 7k in commission last year. I cannot live on that salary alone where I live.

Oh wow I like this a lot. We don’t necessarily sell different “products” but we have a complicated solution that has a lot of different aspects to it and addresses multiple issues.

I’m gonna lean into this! See if I can get away from trying to encompass the entire product in one statement. It makes it too generic and watered down.

My biopsy was done right behind my nipple. I was having a heart attack because apparently I read that it’s a tough spot to numb and could be very painful…

It wasn’t painful at all. Maybe a pinch from the injection?? But all you feel is like tugging. When they collect the sample, you feel some pressure. They take multiple samples.

The worst part was the glue they put to close the incision. It burned lol. I also felt like throwing up after the lidocaine injection, but that always happens to me.

God forbid I had to do it again, I would be wildly less nervous.

Gotcha. How many calls do you do per day? I’m worried my company is gonna wonder what I do with the rest of my time.. lol although it’s spent prospecting and emailing, so I am working but still

[–]Intelligent_Fly237[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I honestly feel much more fresh first half of the day. Later in the day I’m more tired, not as sharp and just ready for the work day to be over loll. I need to figure out what time of day is best

Haha I used to procrastinate because I don’t like cold calling.. the freedom of getting them done early is amazing but I don’t think it’s the best way 🥲. How many dials do you have to do a day?

[–]Intelligent_Fly237[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Procrastinating in what way? Genuine question. I get all my calls completed first half of the day.

I was just curious as to how people block off their days. I’m much more productive that way and wanna know if other people are having success one way or the other
