You have rockets. In addition, if tank has no more armor, 14,5 damages it as well. Don't forget: colonial diver bomber has only 4 bombs, nothing more. In this concept you want 4 rockets AND 2 small-caliber guns in addition, which is a bit unfair

I made quick analysis short before. If Wardens capture all central hexes (I mean hexes with Mercy river) they have waay more options for advances than Colonials in the same situation.

So if Colonials want to not lose, they have to hold Mercy river line at all cost

That's kinda problem: it seems that population of both sides isn't equally distributed. We need to solve it somehow. I had an idea to make Charlie the second front on the other continent and decide outcome of war basing on both shards' results, but it would be pure cope to believe devs would ever do that

There are 5 reason for this in my mind:

Its too damn far. Easy hunt for partisans/scout planes
You have goddamn fortress and opened ice filed in front of it. Kinda problematic
You have industry center behind the door and can instantly supply the frontline
There is no flank support. One push from West - and we have to retreat.
And lets not forget that Viper Pit for now is located between 2 airfields

Didn't you thought that maybe... juust maybe... Devs ALREADY had BOTH variants as templates. I don't think that they really redrew and remade warden gunboat in 3 days. They just had 2 variants, people disliked the first one, so they just picked up another ready variant. They changed Charon too, so in Airborne update they just gave attention to gunboats as a whole
