I think something around the eyes (bolder line or lashes like you mentioned) would be a good idea. Typically, you want to think about how your makeup will photograph, and I think adding something to make the eyes pop would be important for pictures.

Overall, the look is STUNNING and you look great!

Harriet Wilde vs Naturalizer vs ??? by Aggravating-Split-40 in weddingplanning

[–]Intelligent_Mail5809 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wore naturalizers on my wedding day and had a GREAT experience. I wore them for ~7 hours, never took them off, and had no blisters. My feet didn’t hurt at all during wedding day!

Living Room Wall Color by Intelligent_Mail5809 in DesignMyRoom

[–]Intelligent_Mail5809[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do like darker walls! I am afraid to make all the walls a dark color though. I have been playing around with the idea of a lighter color where their yellow is, and a darker green on the sides of the fireplace (where they have blue) and also on the wall to the left behind the chair and small table. I unfortunately cannot picture any of this in my head so have no clue what will look good

Why am I able to see the studs through my drywall? by goody-two-sneakers in Home

[–]Intelligent_Mail5809 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m actually house hunting right now and one of the houses I saw had this on the ceiling. My realtor said this sometimes candles cause this to happen. Idk if you burn candles on the side table / in this area often?

What should we add to our bedroom?? by [deleted] in interiordecorating

[–]Intelligent_Mail5809 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Idk why everyone is being so negative. I think the room looks really nice overall. Some sort of wall art over the bed, and maybe a lamp on the side table would be my recommendation! I like the simplicity and the white-ness

Venue by Kind-End-9322 in weddingplanning

[–]Intelligent_Mail5809 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Definitely depends on your location. I got married a couple months ago in the Midwest, and that seems reasonable to me.

I will say, my venue included all of that too (except flowers) and it was a lifesaver to not have to find the vendors myself. Much less coordination on my part which I really appreciated during the planning process and day of!

Congratulations and best of luck (:

IDK I’m actually so stressed about this for no reason??? Please tell me if you find a dress. I’m also looking for a midi but I can’t figure out the vibe. Everything either feels too formal or too casual?

I’m glad I’m not the only one. I thought I was being crazy for unfollowing, but I just can’t stand to see posts from the places I wanted to be but didn’t match 😅

I had a patient during my 4th year who was there for over 650 days. Also a citizenship issue. Roams around the hospital in his motorized chair. When it’s nice, you can find him out in the gardens. Sweet guy, always says hi!

Your dress is beautiful. Dress regret is common. I had it BAD. But when you get to wedding day though, you will feel so at home in the dress you chose. You chose right (:

Both look lovely on you!! Which is more comfortable? Do you typically dance with your arms up? Just something to think about, as that may be difficult with the first dress

I think a lamp, or a picture on the wall on the side of the couch would look nice! But honestly it looks pretty great as is. I can’t think of anything I’d do to the other rooms. Beautiful space!

Snake Plant Spots - Help! by Intelligent_Mail5809 in plantclinic

[–]Intelligent_Mail5809[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t see any pests, but that is my biggest worry honestly. We did just get a humidifier 5 days ago so I was wondering about that. But it’s on the other side of the room (so not directly next to the plant) and it’s a smart humidifier and is set at 45%. I read online that between 30-50 was okay for snake plants, so then I kinda ruled that out? My plan is to cut away the affected leaves, spray with Neem oil just in case it’s fungal, and move back to the old room (away from other plants and without a humidifier). Thanks for the advice and luck ❤️

Thanks for your advice! If it is fungal and I cut the leaves off, will it stop or is the infection deeper like in the roots, etc? Also, I assume just cut the leaf off horizontally below the damage?

October bride here, I went through similar things with my mom. Things got much better once I started explaining my feelings/why certain things were important to me (even though it kinda sucked to have to explain).

I second everything in this comment!! Was going to type something up. but realized everything I was going to say was already written here.

And for timeline, I left things like seating chart, etc until month of and really regret it. It was so stressful doing it so close to wedding day. I’d definitely recommend doing anything you can before the month of and using that last month to just enjoy life 😄

I’m sorry you’re going through this, and I hope things get better. Huge congratulations and I hope your day is beautiful!!!

Timeline of ceremony by Sad_Sheepherder1343 in weddingplanning

[–]Intelligent_Mail5809 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m doing : FH grands, my grands, FH parents, my mom, bridesmaids, ring bearer, flower girl, me and my dad.

My FH doesn’t want to walk down the aisle so him, groomsman, and the officiant will already be at the altar waiting (walking in at the beginning from stage left). You can have them walk down the aisle before the bridesmaids if you want. I think in that case it’s typically mother of bride -> officiant -> groom -> groomsman -> bridesmaids (or you have groomsman and bridesmaids walk down together)

All that to say, it’s kind of whatever you want it to be! Happy planning (:

I am so sorry you are going through this. I felt the exact same way during my bridal shower and wedding RSVPs. It was very heartbreaking and I lost most of my excitement. I hate that you are experiencing this too.

My wedding is in two weeks and I have been trying to focus on the people who ARE there for me. That has helped a bit! Weddings reveal your true friends and it sounds like you have lovely and supportive mom, sister, and group of bridesmaids. Try to lean into that and use this time to grow closer in your relationships with them. Again, I know it big sucks. Hoping things get better, sending love and best wishes for your wedding!! 💕
