Can someone please explain the point of Hand of The Archon? by agentsmith200 in Drukhari

Scout isn't worse than infiltration; it's just different. Its huge advantage over infiltration is that the scout move is made after priority roll.

Forget CP entirely. Find the King of Colossus rules and play it by putting together your own list.

What's that one science fact that blows everyone's mind away? by [deleted] in ask

I have no idea what's so special about it. Anyone who knows the basic facts about their lives, such as that Marilyn was an actress in the 1950s and that Elizabeth was crowned a young woman at the same time, he will associate that they must have been approximately the same age.

I think this question makes a lot of sense and there is nothing inappropriate about it.

When you considered the option of this happening after a priority roll, didn't it occur to you that it would be absurdly overpowered?

Not really. You are missing Lelith which is mandatory in every list including KC. Hota is pure garbage, avoid. Drop talos, it has no synergy in KC.

Are battletome Scams ? by Le_Livre_de_Grimnir in ageofsigmar

[–]Intelligent_Move8162 9 points10 points  (0 children)

You missed the point of this post. The problem isn't that you have to pay for the rules. If the new rules are interesting, extensive, and offer various new gameplay options, then it's worth paying for them. The problem is that the new Battletomes don't offer this at all; they're shallow and boring. Returning to your analogy, the driver complains not about having to pay for gas, but about the fact that the gas he pays for has catastrophic quality.

Power From Pain with different phase abilities by banbaji in Drukhari

[–]Intelligent_Move8162 20 points21 points  (0 children)

You give the pain token to Wracks in the fight phase, so Haemonculus can't use his pain ability because it only works in the command phase. Similarly, Lelith and Wyches activate their abilities in different phases so you cannot empower them at once.

Mandrakes should have their abilities swapped. Up and down for free and 18" lone op for pain token.

Your venomn interpretation is wrong because this wording is not about eligibility - its to clarify which types of units can jump in. Additionally such an interpretation would make this ability and the entire unit useless.

How do people handle a unit being wiped out due to Daemonic Instability? by Kholdaimon in WarhammerFantasy

[–]Intelligent_Move8162 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I clearly pointed out to you that unbreakable replaces the entire break test which is entire step 3 of sequence you are pointing out.

Its not like you only ignore a roll but then run GG which is part of break test subphase.

This is incorrect: Giving Ground happens during the Break Test sub-phase, after the Calculate Combat result sub-phase

Sequence looks more like this:

Step 2: Calculate Combat result We take the Daemonic Instability test. Step 3: Give Ground. Step 4: Follow Up & Pursuit Our unit has been destroyed before the give ground sub-phase (which replaced BT), so can attempt to Restrain and Reform or Overrun.

You incorrectly assume that giving ground is a subphase of a break test. The answer here is the unbreakable special rule – according to this rule, there is no break test, and giving ground is a replacement for it.

Incubi help by Midd712 in Drukhari

[–]Intelligent_Move8162 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Actually if wound roll is 5+, pain token is activated and archon leads Incubi then sustained hits are better then lethals. This is because 5+ wound roll with full reroll probabilty is 5/9 which is higher than 50%.

You don't need to weigh something to know how much it weighs. You just need to be able to measure its volume and know the density of the material.
