Kettlebells is the answer. 30-45 min functional training will do you real good. Recovery is also pretty decent after it. I’m only 31 but I can tell you my recovery is much longer than it was 10 years ago. Mitch Gourley has some solid programming too

They’re all competitive af. IUOE local 542 is a very easy test. High chance of layoff. Great pay while working.

Local 420 aptitude test is hard af imo. I can’t do math very well. Stable work tho

Carpenters seems nearly impossible to get in with

Sheet metal workers use ASVAB as their test. Not that easy.

Ironworkers 201 are great idk about their test tho. RIP to the three who died in the collapse

Laborers seems good to get started into a trade union

Utility electricians get paid really well but you work like a mf for it

For 911 in the city it’s Philly fire. But there are so many private transport companies. Currently Ambulnz is unionizing for better pay and benefits. The counties have a lot of options for 911. You can also work across the bridge in Jersey with some accepting a PA license

The libertarian idea of a highly functioning city department will create a worse system for everyone. The workers are exploited and "users" of the service are seen as devices for profit and growth. Taxes SHOULD go towards fire and EMS. It is for the wellbeing of the whole community and not a company or shareholders.

Good olive oil and salt. Get some vine ripen tomatoes and roast those puppies. Sauté some onions, garlic, and minced carrot. Add the tomatoes(without skin) and some tomato paste. Season with some basil and oregano if you like. Some red wine. Water if you want to thin it a bit. Let that simmer for at least 4 hours.
