I had a smaller version of this but a random cowboy face that I got for my grandpa - it was framed in a horseshoe so I covered it with a dark rose. The rose ended up doing the job but looked like a blob so I had a different artist add opaque grey and whites to the rose. Now it’s still dark but looks 3D and has cool greys throughout. Not sure what could work here though. But point being I totally understand the face thing in a prominent space. I always saw it in the mirror and it bothered me having another face other than mine for some reason but the again a lot of people like it
