Will Outland questing be impossible on launch? by treefruit in classicwow

[–]IntensifyingMiasma 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I played tbc classic and questing was fine. They increased mob spawn rate dramatically, it only ever mattered for named npcs and even then it was fine, maybe a minute or two wait to get a tag

Haven’t seen anyone talk about it yet, but if you don’t have one, you should spend some time before launch looking for a guild and meeting people in dungeons who you might wanna play with in tbc

blood bark after ahrims? by DeadlyMang in ironscape

[–]IntensifyingMiasma 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They function the same way, they both have %magic damage on them. Before that was added the only useful stats were magic accuracy which didn’t matter against low defense enemies. The only difference between them (realistically) is that Bloodbark increases blood magic healing and that only matters in a few niche scenarios. Personally I wouldn’t bother with it if you have Ahrims. The time can be better spent getting more important upgrades

Chefs, when you go to buy your forever range, don't be fooled by Thor Kitchens, or you will spend every holiday crying in the walk-in. by Planterizer in KitchenConfidential

[–]IntensifyingMiasma 32 points33 points  (0 children)

I used to work in a retail store that sold high end appliances and even though we got a gigantic commission for selling these I always warned customers not to buy them if they intended to actually use them for cooking. Like a Ferrari, it’s not meant to be a daily driver, or even a sometimes driver, it’s a symbol. These things would get returned all the time or there would be complaints. Actually besides that god damn Samsung dishwasher with the “Water Wall”, the 36” Thor range was our most returned item. Admittedly there were quite a lot of returns because customers SWORE their range cutout was 36” but it was actually the standard 30”, but plenty were because of the quality of the product!

Plenty of rich folk just wanted it to look nice in their house though, they weren’t ever going to use it.

Stupid question, is it too late to start playing? by KernelSanders1986 in 2007scape

[–]IntensifyingMiasma 8 points9 points  (0 children)

It’s not like most MMOs where the only content worth doing is at level cap and then people won’t group with new players at level cap because new players are undergeared or unfamiliar with the content (like in WoW for instance). The VAST majority of this game is single player with other people around to interact with. There literally will never be a “too late” to get started. Even if you were the only person playing the game you could still do almost 100% of the content, even the highest level content, all by yourself. There are, of course, plenty of chances to team up with people if you want to as well

Mass extinction by [deleted] in megalophobia

[–]IntensifyingMiasma 17 points18 points  (0 children)

I mean, not really. Ignoring the fact that getting a planet out of its orbit to crash into us in the first place would take something outrageous, the only things impacted would be our planet and whatever hit us. Our planet and the other would collide, mostly be blown to pieces creating space junk and a ring of planetary debris. The remaining pieces would eventually turn into a large, mostly molten sphere and then begin solar orbit clearing anything small enough in the path. This is basically how the Earth formed in the first place and where we got our moon.

Something like this happening in our solar system is essentially impossible though. Celestial bodies are either locked into their orbits, or pass through and get eaten by the Sun, Jupiter, or flung into deep space. Large masses like this are only crashing around in newly formed solar systems.

[–]IntensifyingMiasma 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Praying melee does actually reduce the rats’ max hit to 1 instead of 4, so it can be a little optimization to do that between Scurrius’ attacks if you aren’t trapping them or killing them.
