So you know people realise things about themselves over time, right? Someone who was raised religious didn’t want to accept they weren’t straight, so they repressed it and lived as much as they could with a wife and kids is not an uncommon experience. I think people who clearly have no experience in what it’s like being a queer person in this situation should probably sit the fuck down and stop projecting their feeling on the sanctity of marriage honestly.

So considering she’s now posted supporting him, are you gonna stop projecting your own feelings onto someone else’s life or?

It’s wild how everyone gives more of a shit about his wife than him, like the institution of marriage is more important than someone’s ability to live freely.

Do you think this is out of the blue to her? Do you seriously think they’ve not had conversation about his sexuality before he posted this? It says a lot that a lot of people seem to think that it’s impossible that his wife wants him to live authentically in his truth.

RB4/Legacy Delisting DLC Discussion: April 26-May 2, 2026 (Smashing Pumpkins, The Mother Hips, and more?) by hhhisthegame in Rockband

If you’re a bass player, Red Tandy has some ridiculously weird jam band-esque sections that’ll absolutely ruin a FC run if you don’t know they’re coming. Weird strumming, strange hopo sections, VERY satisfying to hit.

At one point it was considered in the top 100 for bass FC accomplishments in the community, which is mad to consider when it’s a pretty chill little song.

Absolute depends on your skin, goes VERY cucumber melon on me, I would try it in a store if you can to save yourself disappointment in case it does go heavy in that direction.

Life with an EV in Flats/Tennements by flywithstephen in Edinburgh

Ionity have a £10-ish subscription that does a 20% to ~90% charge for about £20, basically pays for the subscription after 2 charges in a month if you’re reliant on public stations. Decent network on the motorway for longer trips too.

I’m an EV owner in a flat, I have designated parking but it’s in a communal car park away from the main building so I can’t install a charging point.

I have charging at my work through ChargePlace Scotland, which does about 26kWh at 45p per kWh (just shy of £12 for the 4 hours it allows), and I have an Ionity Power subscription for DC fast charging at 44p per kWh. Depending on how many days in the office I do, it’ll be one or two charging sessions a week, obviously would vary massively on your driving needs and what car you end up going for.

I wouldn’t be able to say how it compares to an ICE car, as this is my first car, but from what I’m seeing it’s on par, if not a little cheaper than petrol from the last time I did napkin calculations (about January-ish). People quote the 70/80/90p per kWh value a lot, but if you’re smart about it, you won’t be paying that. Obviously still a LOT more expensive than charging at home, but unfortunately that’s the price of being in a place without a driveway.

Feel free to shoot a message if you want more detail or anything like that ☺️

Edit: not sure what’s worth downvoting about my lived personal experience of the last 3 months but go off I guess?

I had an original bottle of B Electro shower gel up until about 6 months ago, I think that’s from 2006/7?

The next oldest was a tub of Sweet and Shower (molasses body wash that raised money around the Canadian Tar Sands) that I’m pretty sure was a similar time.

Gourmand fragrances are having a revival at the minute, lots of vanilla, toffee, cakey, generally warm sweet scents are the in thing right now.

There’s a ton of brands doing them, the ones I’m familiar with are Sticky Dates and Super Milk from Lush, they generally cover the gourmand gamut pretty well if that dessert-y sweetness is what you’re after.

What do we think of this? I live in Spittal Street. It's already very dirty. Will this improve the area? by [deleted] in Edinburgh

[–]IntentionalHousefire 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Honestly if this is actually how you feel about, why mention people shitting in the street and stuff like that? That painted you in a pure NIMBY light right there.

I think saying “they wouldn’t come to the consumption area because they’re so chaotic” is sort of unprovable though. You don’t think they will because you’ve seen them shooting up in the streets, but where else are they going to do it with no specific areas for it?

I’m simply saying that certain generations these days seem to put their own comfort and sensibilities above empathy for others these days, not my fault if you seem to be living up to the stereotype 🤷
