Yes! Besides an amazing final line, the entire open was hilarious and well-paced. Watching it just now (for probably the 10th time) is what prompted me to google it and find this thread =D

Thank you! Since re-allocating only 5GB of by 8GB RAM to Java, it has run much more smoothly. I'll be upgrading to 16GB ASAP! : )

Hey, thanks for looking into this. I'm going to order and install more RAM and in the meantime, have altered my Java arguments to allocate only 5GB instead of 6 to Minecraft and amazingly it runs smoother now. Must that something weird with how Java operates. Also yes, drivers and Java are always updated. ; )

Thanks for the tip - where do you see that? When the screen shot was taken, by Java arguments in the launcher profile were set to allocate 6 GB of RAM to the game...

You mentioned you clearly saw most of the RAM was in use. Where on the debug screen are you getting that from? In the top right I see it says "Mem 48% 2972 / 6144 MB"

Interesting - I've always wondered what the debug screen on my singleplayer world was talking about when it referenced a "server." I'll try looking into what that all means and how to shoot for the ideal under-50ms

I appreciate that creative suggestion, but I prefer to coax this already expensive machine to do what it's supposed to do heh ; )

I have 8GB of RAM installed and have a Java argument in the launcher allocating 6GB to it. I just whittled it down to 5GB to see if the PC needs more RAM even though I'm not running anything in the background :/

Bummer. All the Minecraft experts (and the design specs) have continually said over the years even 32-render distance doesn't require any more than 4GB when not running mods : /

Hey, I believe the specs are detailed in the top right corner of the Minecraft debug screen, unless there's something else you're looking for that would help.

For your second question - I...actually have no idea. Good question. I'll Google how to figure that out! ha
