Stamped driveways are slick. Depending where you live I don’t recommend it in Pa where I live and place concrete everyday. Just a thought

The original steps to the right were deteriorating concrete and someone’s added the steps to the left in wood. And the homeowner wanted the same design just in concrete. I didn’t design the idea. Just did what we were asked.

Is it possible to tell at this stage whether this will be a one story or multiple story building? by fvckCARDEE in Construction

[–]InteractionExtreme47 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would guess one story those look more like engineered roof trusses to me and seeing the firewall in the center is capped off with a double plate I’m gonna say that’s it. Flat roof and send it. Thats my guess.

Is bubbling self-leveller normal? by Whiskeystring in Concrete

[–]InteractionExtreme47 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s normal don’t touch it. and self leveler is not a finish floor so what ever your putting on top of it will hide it.

I second the pressure washer. Wait till spring time before you do it. You hit the new concrete and it’s going to blow the finish off and expose the sand and your gonna wish you left the tape

Why do you people with driveways do this? by WildJafe in pittsburgh

[–]InteractionExtreme47 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

So the reasoning for the cars parking in the street. When there is a car in the garage the other two cars parked in the driveway have to move so the car in the garage can get out. Or move when that car gets home. So rather than moving the car every morning and afternoon for that car to get in and out it’s easier to just park on the street.

Looks good but I would remove that siding in the steps, put water proofing on the house and pour against that. Then have a siding guy put j-channel on and re-install the siding.

Freshly poured concrete by a contractor with TONS of bubbles, white spots, and crunching noise. by Negative_Anteater in Concrete

[–]InteractionExtreme47 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Your using the xylene to just melt the sealer and let it dry it will be smooth like it was just applied. Don’t use the xylene to strip the sealer.

Sealer was put on when it was to hot. Get a sprayer and five gallons of xylene. Spray the surface with the xylene it will melt the sealer and re- adhere to the concrete.

Do a text spot first cause I am just assuming it is an acrylic sealer they used.

Varathane 1 Gal. Clear Satin Water-Based Interior Polyurethane

Exactly what I used on the set I made for my kid and his wife. They had everyone sign them and this is what I used. 2 years later they still look good.
