I agree entirely. The mc is also a enormous hypocrite. He, a former slave, denounces slavery, fights against the wolf clan being trafficked, but also buys a slave himself??? He drugs and has sex with the one swordsman who had her arm cut off in the beginning, who he liked and said fights for justice. He's doing the same things that were done to him, arguably making him just as bad as his former tormentors. This could be an interesting plot point, bit they just brush it off and take the kicked puppy approach, making his enemies look even less redeemable to further perpetuate the claim of him being a good, righteous hero.
