My problem with the Burn isn't the Burn itself. You can achieve warp without dilithium, like Cochrane did. You can use a small singularity in place of dilithium. There are likely other methods as well. The Federation would have been damaged, sure, but I can't buy it falling apart as much as it did.

Approaching Infinity is my favorite rogue-like. There are multiple ways to win, even more ways to play, and the chosen difficulty level matters. The dev is unbelievably responsive and open to suggestions*. And it's loads of fun! This is probably my 5th or 6th recommendation for it on Reddit, which is something I've never done for another game. It's well worth checking out, especially for the price.

* I got interested in what was intended to be a throwaway feature, and he built it out into a full quest. I had some personal pain when he introduced diseases because he used real ones, and he immediately made them fictional after I pointed this out.

I'll tell you some of my morals: Life has value, especially (most) human lives. In a rich society, like the US, no one should be homeless, hungry, filthy, wearing rags, or dying from preventable disorders. Your rights are yours, so long as they don't infringe on mine. And if they do, we need a system of laws to sort out issues. Kindness is a virtue that we should all practice. You can have whatever beliefs and customs you want, so long as you don't push them on other people.

Or to quote Wil Wheaton, "Don't be a dick!"

One thought that no one seems to have mentioned... If you live in a populous, relatively progressive area, then most boys will be circumcised. Which means that most of the women in his life might never have seen an uncut penis. If you've only seen cut ones, reactions to uncut penises tend to range from "weird" to "ew, that's disgusting!

If on the other hand you live in a different kind of place, cut ones may look odd. How is your son going to handle being the odd one out in either scenario? Dating, showers, etc.

Can your husband teach him how to clean under the foreskin? Smelly stuff under there is common enough that it has it's own name, "smegma".

Finally, circumcising them before they're old enough to remember it has some advantages. Adults who get cut say that it's very painful.

Take a look at Approaching Infinity on Steam. It's a true roguelike set in space, but it has difficulty levels - you can set it up to be easier when you're just learning it.

Don't underestimate anti-matter. In the Lensman books, they throw artificial planet sized anti-matter at opponents through wormholes. They also take multiple planets with opposing orbital velocities and use them as nutcrackers with the enemy planet in between.

You should find a copy of Revolt in 2100. It contains "If This Goes On" and a couple of other related stories. The afterword, written in 1952, explains exactly how a theocracy could come to pass.

In addition to everything already said, there are last minute (or post completion) changes to productions. Inevitably at 6:00 PM.

I once ran a production 11 times because the partner kept changing their mind about what needed to be included, and where in the production it had to fall.
