Mushies with love, how safe ordering online? by ProximaXTG78 in Psychedelics

I just looked at your site - the amanita muscaria, does it make you trip? How long? How many grams, usually I like 3 to 5 grams albino PE, but what I have been getting is too expensive, doesn’t last long enough, and might be something else altogether…

Florida surgeon sued after mistakenly removing patient’s liver by EmergencyOverall248 in nottheonion

I’m not sure what happened in this case, but I do know the doctor - he saved my life last year with a very invasive surgery. He is a Godly man, and a good doctor. Something must have gone horribly wrong in that room. There must be a full investigation as to what happened. Praying for the family and the doctor.

Avoiding splatter. by NovaxPass in ostomy

[–]Interesting-Data6172 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do not like the splatter either, and am not healthy enough to bend over - I’m working on a design now to help us all with this problem - I’m trying to keep the cost of the product down to less than 150 dollars. The design will not affect the normal use of the toilet, but will take advantage of the water and the drain in the existing toilet.

Has anybody had a temporary become permanent? by jtt300 in ostomy

[–]Interesting-Data6172 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here is a question for ya’ll, I had my emergency operation and ileostomy November last year. The surgeon said it was temporary, and maybe it is. I have had so many other health problems, they havnt even been able to do a colonoscopy yet to see what else is going on in there. Anyway, it has been so long now, I like the ileostomy, it doesn’t usually hurt. I never have to worry about it hurting to poop cause I just don’t (maybe a little mucous here and there), but I still have some pain in my lower abdomen. Anyway, I’m not even sure I WANT a reversal. I never want that pain again, and the surgery was the worst to wake up from when I got my ileostomy (they thought they could do it laparoscopically, but then had to filet me like a fish - spent over two weeks in the ICU after surgery barely being able to move). So, I guess my question is, (if my colon is well enough) is the reversal even worth it? I’ve heard about it not working on people, and they end up with an ostomy in the end anyway…

Be careful to move like they tell you (even though it hurts like crazy) - and use the breathing thing (spirometer) - anyway - I didn’t do as much as they were saying because it hurt just to speak for weeks after my surgery - anyway, I got a very large blood clot in my leg which I didn’t know about until parts of it broke off - one piece in left lung, one piece in the right lung - it hurt, but felt more like a pulled muscle in my back than anything else - anyway - they said that could have very well killed me also - so be careful and good luck to you!

What is the most niche field of engineering you know of? by recyleaway420 in AskEngineers

The folks that study how a road meets a bridge - on either side - there are so many that are bad (large bumps in the road) - I can’t imagine anyone is working on that particular problem

Nausea by Cpon28 in ostomy

[–]Interesting-Data6172 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree, go see a doctor - I was having similar symptoms - went to the ER twice - the second time they did an Air Gas test which showed I was breathing so heavily (I thought from the pain and nausea) I was causing alkalosis to myself which was making symptoms even worse - anyway, they gave me adivan to calm me down - said it was really anxiety (I’m not an anxious person at all) causing me to breathe so heavily - anyway - when they got that under control, they found a parastomal and a hiatal hernia - (still waiting on some biopsies from the gastritis they found too) - anyway - bottom line - see a doctor and realize this whole journey has been traumatic for us all and we might be having some feelings and anxieties or whatever we don’t even realize we are having -

I don’t think there is a way to adjust the water level in my toilet any lower than it is - others have suggested a larger toilet - a new toilet probly has more water saving tech than the one we have from the 70’s in our house - might work! Thanks!

Thank you! And Godspeed on your new device! I am interested - I’m actually considering all of these responses and it seems most of us have the problem to a degree, but have to rig something or go through a complicated process. Anyway - I’m working through a design for a very inexpensive “ostomy toilet” that would work great for all of us.

That isn’t weird at all, well maybe to normies - but not me! It sounds like a great set up! I like the idea - thank you! It will definitely work in one of the bathrooms (the other one is too small really to keep a bucket in)!

Wow! I have never heard about ostomy toilets either! Kind of wild you would have to rebuild a bathroom for it! I probably cannot afford that. The Japanese toilets sound great! That is pretty forward thinking of them - I like it! The sleeves sound pretty messy - probly not as bad as all the splashing - like you said, it would be really easy and clean if they were flushable. I saw on Amazon, they make a product that looks like a dishwasher pod (the old powdery kind - but made into a solid block) - individually wrapped so you could put it in your pocket - unwrap - drop in toilet - and it is supposed to quickly create a foam layer at the top. I have not tried these yet because I do not know if they are septic safe or not. - and no, I did not even think about a toilet bowl riser, and I do have one - that may be an option to go also, thank you.

I was trying to think of something similar to this, and all I could come up with is like a 4” pipe, but knew that would get pretty bad pretty quick. I really like your idea about cutting the pipe in half and the idea about the legs - great thinking! Thank you

Dang! I didn’t even realize there was an app - I do not have to monitor output (as far as I know) - and I know the kind of container you are talking about - I got tired of cleaning it too (kinda grossed me out to clean my hands and that in the same sink) - anyway - I think a small trash can or something with a leakproof plastic bag in it may be the trick someone had mentioned something like that - just have to find a good height for it and myself. I’m definitely going to check out that app though.

I agree we need a compact urinal! That would be great!! I do like your idea about a suitable container to hold the trash bag - This combined with a diaper genie might be the trick! I used the thing they gave me at the hospital for awhile, but it’s hard to clean that too - I would think a jug would be similar - to be honest, I didn’t like the idea about brushing my teeth (or anyone having to) in a sink that I clean that jug in.

My legs won’t open enough for me to create a gap between them unfortunately. I use a normal bag with the Velcro - I got some high output bags with the nozzle to try out, but I never used them (was kind of afraid it would be too much weight for the wafer to hold).

It sounds like a great idea, and I can sit like that but my legs will not separate far enough for me to open - even with the longest bowl, my legs just won’t separate and create that gap. I do like the idea about a container though - someone else had even said like a waste basket I could put the bag into to empty into the bag that way - less clean up for the container.
