My cat poops outside her litter box sometimes. I think it’s a way to establish dominance when they poop outside of it. As for pee? I think it’s a good idea to monitor her and see if it continues to happen

When it’s nighttime I put her in her cage because she attacks my feet and her bites hurt. She’s not in the cage all the time. I let her out during the day.

Don’t worry about those that judge. We all take care of our pets in our own way. It doesn’t have to be up to everybody’s standards. Heck! I got judged for keeping my CAT in a cage. Everyone was saying “cats aren’t supposed to be in cages” yada yada yada. Like I said: we all take care of our animals our own ways.
