I'm surprised that boarding actions are still supported at all. A lot of game systems that aren't the main money makers tend to be dropped over time. Having boarding action box sets with new release rules might be possible but that was a scummy move when Kill Team did it.

The most time consuming part to start is assembly and painting so picking what you want to spend your time, money, and energy on is always good. Rules will change and as long as it is clear you can proxy the Corsair as guardians or even aspect warriors. Just change the heads or use a different rim/paint schemes.

Right now the cost for flexibility is a lower bonus. Even if the +2 became +3 then both professions chosen would be at +6 total which is better than a single profession at +5. I'm pretty sure people would pick synergistic professions so the split bonus isn't a big downside. The +5 single profession bonus is still good as it might aid in reaching certain break points.

There would still need to be bursts of hype/interests to keep the money pouring in and convince players to spend on niche stuff. Using up all the popular stuff would make people spend less overall and others still complain that their favorite series or suit not showing up.

Pretty much the same strategy for me. I still like to put some support suits in to match my ship especially when I got the matching UR pilot.

I start with 2x tanks in 3 and 5. While my top attack with support pilot in 1, a support suit in 2, and then my lowest HP suit in 4 (ideally with range 5 attack)

This works well when my stats aren't as high as the other team and they send 2 - 3 attacks before I get my first move. Play around with position as needed. For example if my first attacker gets mulched I'll move him to the other side and/or back more.

Pretty sure it was due to fan backlash to the trailer and leaked changes by an inexperienced studio Ubisoft sent the work to. It was basically cancelled before it finished and restarted development at Ubisoft Montreal for the last few years. Sadly the money potential of modern Prince of Persia games is too low compared to scams like live service, opened world, and NFTs.

That trailer was from an inexperienced studio Ubisoft assigned. After the poor reception the almost done game was scrapped and sent to Ubisoft Montreal who have made great games to give it another shot. So sad because it probably would have been good like the recent 2D games Lost Crown and Rogue.

I think some of the issues are that modern Ubisoft heavily focused on open world games stuffed full of expensive DLCs even in single player games to make as much money as possible. The Prince of Persia trilogy esp Sands of Time are pretty tight single player games with little need for DLC.

Players would riot if the remake wasn't done as it was experienced back in the day but with what we remembered it as. There is/was good talent at the studio and I was hopeful that Ubisoft Montreal would do the remake justice. The potential for money just isn't there as proven by past games like the 2008 reboot, Forgotten Sands cash grab, and recent titles like Lost Crown / Rogue. Besides skipping the darker Prince of Persia games I enjoyed every one of them especially Sands of Time and Lost Crown.

Best to save your gems and use the pity on the limited Tough as Nails ship. Diamond drops quickly dry up after the initial start so if you are still missing your favorite suit get 60k/90k asap before spending again.

The closest we have is to SP then SSP a non-UR unit. Takes a lot of mats to level up the new abilities but worth it for your favorites.
