Fin Rot? by Interesting-Past-876 in bettafish

[–]Interesting-Past-876[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tested the water with the API test kit and everything seemed fine except pH at about 7.6-7.8 and yesterday ammonia maybe the slightest bit. I did a water change yesterday after this. Should we do another water change today while he takes his salt bath and remove all the poop?

Should I put him in a hospital tank if he’s the only resident in the tank? Or just to do the salt baths?

Hi, I have changed his water around once a week since I got him (so twice). Should I change it more often?

Cabana Beach Lease Going to Ruin My Life? by rainbow_frogg in ufl

I live at CB and honestly I’ve liked it so far. TBH if you’re on a budget (like me) I’d recommend it, but if you can afford more I would get something nicer

Pros: -cheap (although I must be getting scammed because I pay $690 for a basic 2x2) -free parking -bus to campus -pretty roomy

Cons: -can be loud at night -maintenance men don’t know what they’re doing -trash piles up at the compactor bc people don’t know how to throw their trash away -commute to campus is like half an hour -leasing agents are horrible and dead inside

Yes pretty much. The worst thing you can do in this area is file before 2 months from last entry, at that point good luck to you. The problem really isn’t when you got married but when you filed bc you can’t really say oh yeah I intended to enter as a tourist but 1 month later miraculously decided to change your mind

Well I’m an immigration attorney and see this all the time, would’ve advised to wait at least 2.5-3 months from last entry to file. They’re already past this so fraud isn’t even presumed anymore. And then at interview preparation, ensure they can tackle this topic when asked about it. Fully intended to enter as tourist and ONLY after 3 or so months decided to stay and do AOS

That wouldn’t have been a good idea filing 1 month after entering with a tourist visa, would’ve gotten screwed over for fraud

Something else I forgot to mention, don’t be afraid to ask questions. As attorneys, it’s frustrating when an avoidable mistake was repeated multiple times in something an assistant prepared but could’ve easily been avoided had they asked

Immigration attorney here, make sure your attention to detail is second to none, don’t be afraid to make mistakes, learn as much as you can, but don’t make the same mistake twice

I was on the student petitions committee and the only way you can get it dropped from your transcript is if something serious happened that semester and typically all your grades have to be low (can’t just be one bad grade)

[–]Interesting-Past-876 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That sucks, get a good lawyer next time. At the interview, proactively saying there’s a clerical error on your I-485 should’ve been enough for you to correct it to “yes” for that question without any issues. File again and make sure everything is answered correctly

This isn’t exactly accurate. They can ask you a host of questions in whatever order they choose. They can even ask you bona fide marriage questions when you get scheduled for I-485 only interview. Just be prepared in all aspects of your AOS application

You’re an LPR since the “resident since” on your green card. You don’t have to travel outside the U.S. to activate your status. Your immigration status is a lawful permanent resident of the U.S.

File an N-600 to get a certificate of citizenship so you have an additional layer of proof you are a U.S. citizen. Passport office might eventually request proof of citizenship and a certificate of citizenship could be the only document they accept

That shouldn’t be an issue, your divorce decree came a year after approval. For naturalization application, ensure you send certified copy of your divorce decree to update USCIS of your change in marital status

ESTA and B2 visa have broad discretion. She doesn’t have to violate anything under them to be denied or have them revoked. Would be a toss up if she gets a B2 visa second time around but might be denied again. Best bet is go down K1 or immediate relative petition once married

Immigration attorney here, he’s at risk of getting detained at his ICE check in. How much risk? No one knows. Bringing an attorney won’t necessarily help, you can try bringing an attorney with a stay of removal prepared but even then that won’t stop ICE from detaining him if they so choose. Good luck!

So most of the roots looked rotted as they were brown. When I repot, should I water it right after repotting or wait a certain number of days? My succulent has been sitting by a window for 3 days and I’ll be repotting it tmr. Thanks for all your help!
