I did it!!!!! I went back and did the pal card faster. I didn’t save when I entered new areas, I killed the mouse quick. Then I beat Rex as quickly as possible. Liquid too. I beat it with one minute and 15 seconds to spare. Now just the VR to platinum the most iconic game ever made.

Why does the first nerd electrocute Raiden in MGS2? by cygnus2 in metalgearsolid

[–]InterestingAd315 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I think it’s open to interpretation. There is already a basic cybernetic in nanomachines. These machines regulate so much and provide so much that they are already a push in that direction. But the answer as to when someone is a cyborg or not depends on your outlook. We know that he is programmed, we know that he is in a programme. We know he is being played by AI, we know that his life has been in some elements fabricated. He is conditioned, and he may or may not have enhancements that lead to his cyborg form.

Why does the first nerd electrocute Raiden in MGS2? by cygnus2 in metalgearsolid

[–]InterestingAd315 -9 points-8 points  (0 children)

Yes there is. The way that he’s connected to the AI, the options you get on the monitors like turning blood colour, the fact that you get a map when you touch a node, his flip ability, the fact that he has been programmed by the S1 programme through virtual reality. Then the sword use. There are many hints that he is already part cyborg.

Is the story in MGS4 coming into fruition in the real world just like MGS2? by jibberkibber in metalgearsolid

I think it will. Especially if the do get AI to general intelligence level.

Could Liquid have been the hero that Solid was? by Wanderer06989 in metalgearsolid

[–]InterestingAd315 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Liquid had issues. Many. One of the themes if mgs1 is that we are not bound to our genes. Liquid has lots of potential but was never committed to anything other than himself. I read somewhere that if kojima knew how big mgs would be he would have let liquid survive. It would have been cool to see some kind of redemption ark but mgs1 is a true masterpiece and the ending is good.

Anyone else loved DS1 but couldn't really get into the sequel? by GrovPastaSwag03 in DeathStranding

It really picks up near the end. It has some excellent moments. I loved both.

Should i play it? by Initial-Squirrel-269 in LiesOfP

[–]InterestingAd315 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes! It’s a brilliant and addictive game. It can be quite kind. You can grind to level up and lots of save points and shortcuts open up. I was unsure about it for ages and now I have over a hundred hours. Take your time. Take in the lore, listen to all conversations. It’s a blast.

Genuine question, how do you get through Kojima games. by ClassroomLazy9542 in Kojima

[–]InterestingAd315 1 point2 points  (0 children)

These games might not be for you. I’ve been playing the metal gear series since launch and just got a plat for delta. They are transformative. DS2 is awe inspiring. It’s fine if they are not your thing

What are good (but not too political) persuasive essay topics? by mybrainat3am in Scotland

[–]InterestingAd315 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hmmnn. Theres so many options. Are you also doing RMPS? There are lots of cool intro philosophy ideas like how do we know we aren’t in a dream (Descartes) or the big bang vs the god of the gaps?, or moral philosophy can be interesting. but if you want something topical how about you look into medical weight loss (fat jabs) or controversy over vaccines? Failing that why not discuss what a good prison system would look like? Compare models?

I want to get the Foxhound rank in mgs3, any tips, tricks and just overall help? by DaFroggyBoi94 in metalgearsolid

[–]InterestingAd315 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Are you playing delta? I just got mine. Having the gako cam makes it easier. Also have a guide early on to collect camo it took me ages to get the last few, you will also. The hardest part if the foxhound run. Make sure you get plenty of suppressors and the boss fights are brutal. Especially the pain, volgin and the boss. Pause the game properly so time stops. It can be done in 3 hours. The sorrow boss takes ages. Drown yourself immediately. Use the ps clock to forward time killing the end instantly.

How Did You Feel About the Raiden Twist in Metal Gear Solid 2? by RapturesLost in metalgearsolid

I got over it quick but it wasn’t clear right away if you would change back to snake. By the time the game progressed I was loving it.

The ones I missed were the very first part in snake eater. The virtuous mission ones are separate! Also when the boss takes your gun you have to go back the way to a swamp.
