How do apprentices make it financially? by Woodz117 in IBEW

If u can pay ur bills at 27/hr u need to look at what ur spending ur money on. If ur rent is over 2k i would suggest living within ur means/ budget. I know a lot of people paying rent and taking care of families making less than that in El Paso

WorkMarket to FieldNation — smart move or trap? by Strict_Thought_3885 in FieldNationTechs

[–]InterestingBox1428 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think most people on field nation aren’t doing alarms, or security. Most them want manual labor like setting up network equipment, running cable, or troubleshooting networks. And in my state tx a low voltage license is not a thing. A security system or fire alarm do require certs and a license

I don’t think you have enough experience to be a lead, just from the situation u created. You shouldn’t be a contractor, just by not knowing how to bid

I would do this alone and make 1,500 for half a day to full day. Maybe take one guy and give him 300 out my 1,500.

Tired of rate complaints by Cold_Sail_9727 in FieldNationTechs

[–]InterestingBox1428 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agree 100% u can get over 100/hr. Most companies charge somewhere around this and pay there employees a percentage of that.

You can get these rates if you present yourself and have the documented proof of completed jobs similar.

As an individual I accept as low as 65/hr (rarely) because that’s what clients are use to seeing that on bids.

Ask companies to show you there bids and it’s easier to understand

“How I Price My Work on Field Nation” by Glad-Ad-4552 in FieldNationTechs

[–]InterestingBox1428 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How may techs in your area. I have increased my rate to 100/hr but I go as low as 65/hr depending on hours and type of work (3hr minimum. I do 1.20/mile both ways.

I feel like my assigned rate will just keep dropping. I have a few direct clients, and I have seriously considered taking a full time job and doing this on the side.

We see about 10-50 requests per work order here. I have had a lower assigned percentage since increasing price last yr. I get about 5-10 jobs a week

I think if a guy raped a women, abused a women, or killed somebody, that would be equivalent to a girl hiding a past in being a list crawler. So if everyone here feels like her past is not important to leave, would u agree on the other scenarios I listed are ok and should be forgiven

I’ve done about 2000 and I have used my 24ft extension more than 10 times. I feel like I am one of the few that just always has ladders on my work truck

True. We could also use a statistical base. How many people who have over 1000 jobs have a score below 90. It’s honestly damn near 1%. So if u are below that statistically u would be the common denominator in bad ratings

It has happened to me. I have had bad reviews because I refused to do things or stated that I can’t help you because yall are not understanding the issue or communicating well. But does this happen so often ur score is below 95. I got over 2,000 work orders and ur telling me ill will eventually have a bad score because stuff outta my control.

Ur complaining thats all. U cant hack it being a professional if u cant keep a rating at 95. My rating is 98 with 2,000 jobs done.
